I started vaping 6 months ago and of course I started ranting about it immediately. I guess I was too excited about it because my parents thought I was trying to sell them something like amway! Finally after 6 months I was able to wear them down and they ordered a couple egos and juice today. I'm really excited about it. It's felt like i was trying to house train a 9 year old ferrel dog. Anyone else feel this way?

Congratulations - that's really awesome and you must feel great - and happy/relieved for your parents!! :)

I haven't converted anyone...yet! I only just had my Aunt ask me on FB yesterday "what brand I'm using", which resulted in a 2 page email from me with links to ECF, a local store by her, plus MVS, MBV's...etc! :) I do know how you feel though, as I've spent the last 6 weeks dying for someone, anyone to ask me about it! Kind of like Hermione from the HP books/movies - I've got my hand in the air now, wanting to say "pick me, pick me, I've learned so much and I want to share!!!"

Real success would be if I could convert my twin brother - but he is as stubborn as they come and won't even ask me about it right now.

A neighbor saw my wife and I quit using pvs, he was interested and really wanted to give it a go. He vaped one of my spares on a fishing trip, really liked it so I gave him My inferno starter kit and a bottle of juice. He's down to an analog a day and is doing quite well....just a matter of time until I have my first full convert :)

Luckily my twin brother was forced to quit at the hands of my sister-in-law. My transition was way smoother and faster. It took him almost 10 years to quit. He's still sneaks some when he's over at my folks. I'm laughing at the 2 page email. My approach was just like that. Scare them away with too much information

Lol, yep, but I had a funny approach at first. I have to go back & forth between warehouses - my "home" wh peeps knew I had quit and was vaping. Being that it was the closest thing to gossip, our supervisor told his gf, who's the supervisor at the other wh, about it. However, he never imparts info corrctly, and all she came away with was that I had quit smoking. A couple days later, I had to work at her wh.

A little background - I'm known as the scary chick. Not just how I dress or anything, but I'm a geek and I get, uhhmmm, "not nice" if people don't follow the rules and procedures that make our systems work..

So anyway, she had told a few of the other people, probably thought they needed advance warning , that I had quit smoking. After being there an hour or so, another gal turned to me and said "I hear you quit smoking.....". I just grinned wide and said "Yep!". She looked absolutely terrified but asked, "How's it going with that?", and then I showed her my kit :)

Long story less rambly, one guy over there switched to vaping this past weekend and loves it, another gal was going to get her gear and switch after work today :w00t:

I'm going to convert everyone I can. Not only for their health, but also because resistance is futile, they will be assimilated.

Wife was a blu user and said "i don't need anything more than this" I bought her a eGo Pink starter kit with some Stardusts. She hasn't touched her blu in 2 weeks... Next up is my son. His starter kit arrives tomorrow. He is a social smoker. I know where that leads. Hoping to change him to a social vaper.

That's excellent. Good luck to you and converting your son.

So far I have saved 3 lives haha. 2 coworkers and 1 friend plus one who is almost there and I have only been vaping for a few months. I get a lot of questions on where to get it and generally I see lots of interest shown in smokers. No stores near me, so I send a standard e-mal of information and some deals. I need to open a store or carry some kits in my car haha.

Unfortunately there's no sister in law to force him - and at 43, the more any of us try to pressure him, the more he'll resist. So, I just use my pv whenever he is around, and let him see how much I love vaping and keep my fingers crossed that he'll ask me for more info. I have juice and an extra battery tucked away for that day. And the two page email wasn't that bad!! :) It was broken down into disposables/cig-a-likes, then links to ECF and Baditude's beginner's blog, then the "Advanced section" where I explained what I use and about juice. And I told her to get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine first!

I have converted alot of people myself, but now I try and keep from doing that. Unless you can be there to "babysit" them it can make it bad on both of you.
I have been at this for 4 years and had to go through all the trial and errors to get where I am today. I'd like to keep them from the junk, but the refilling and finding a juice they like. Half the time they will not look things up on the internet. They call me, or bring it over.

How do I punch my carts? Where do I get a cart punch? Can I just use yours? Maybe you can just punch my carts for me.
I don't mind doing this for my kids and family, but to do it for THEIR friends....OMG it's wearing me out.

I mean yeah, it's not as easy as buying a cigarette and a lighter, but jeez, this is 2013 and if I at 58 can us the internet to figure it out so can these 20 somethings.

(and no..you work at Burker King...I don't think you can afford a Provari, go with something a little less expensive....And no you cannot use mine for a week)
