So recently I've been getting asked a lot of questions about vaping from people who might want to give it a shot. Most of them have had some level of experience with cig-a-like set ups or the like, and one thing I will def give those companies credit for is making the product ready to go out of the box.

ive seen a good number of suggestions in other threads about sending people here to do some research and whatnot, but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for the people who are interested in quitting smoking but are not the tinkering type or the type that are willing to do a ton of research to get it done.

mostly, I'm asking about specific kits or information sites with such information that you might suggest. I have personally been recommending vapedojo given they have a fair number of flavors to choose from and just enough kits for it not to seem daunting to a novice to select one but I'm sure you all have a link up the sleeve with some additional options.

any sites that you like with a descent amount of formal information and starter kits that might include the selection of a few juices to get people started?

That could be big mistake. Most smokers don't want a new hobby to consume their life. They want an effective easy alternative. That may be ecigs, and for some this site might help. But for others, the information overload and diversity of opinions here can turn them off.

I've helped several people switch to ecigs, but only with a lot of hand-holding. Sending them here would have been fruitless.

I don't mean diminish the value of ECF, but this type of information is not for everyone.

Hi XTakk!

I'm glad to see that you are recommending Vape Dojo, they are my vendor of choice for new vapers, they have some awesome starter sets at some of the best prices. I usually buy 2 of the "Katana" kits to keep on hand (when they are in stock) and give them to friends that are interested in giving vaping a try. These sets are cheap enough (although they have gone up a little since I started doing this) that I don't mind having them to give away. What I don't give out though is juice, I fill a tank from my own supplies (VapeDojo flavors at 18mg nic) for them to try with their kit. That usually is enough to get them through and if they like it, they go buy more.

After they have had a chance to try vaping for a day or two, if they ask more questions, THEN I will point them here for research. I try not to overload them up front, as it can be overwhelming.

HTH!

i suggest an ego twist or those vision spinners with a protank2 (tank being glass) and a NON-rebuildable bridgeless dripping atomizer (like stingray) both low resistance..
i gifted my old set-up to a friend (2x ego twist 650mah ) and he got converted on day 1.... given that it has higher voltage output- the set-up had satisfied him very well.. he is a 25+yrs smoker like i was...

The best way I found to spread the Vape is to let them try it.
I went as far as got some dripping Atomizers, 5 Pack Bargain 510 Standard Atomizers [510BGN-5PCK] - $14.99 :
Now I don't know if that's the best deal or the lowest price. But they are great for tasting flavors or if you don't want to clean out your tank just for some flavor your just going to vape for a little while. But they are great for people trying to find their everyday all day flavor.

I am up to 5 people I got Vaping :) But the funny part was when I started them 5 didn't think about vaping didn't try to research or even look it up to see what I was talking about. But once they took a Hit they were sold.

I still say send them here for great advice... Many of our fellow vapers here like to keep it simple and with a post or two will have many good recommendations. Being a member here comes with the advantage of having a support system second to none.
