I am just not getting on with the cool cartos I bought, and can't imagine why some people prefer them.
They do work much better with my PT, which I use in the car, but even so I don't like the same flavours I love in the wow cartos.

I have to suck so hard to get anything out of them, even then the flavour & vapour are much less than my Wow carts. It started me wondering whether manual batteries work better with them?
All my batteries are auto, so I can't test it out.

So cool cart lovers, is there a difference using them with manual batteries?

Hey Keyzy congrats on 11K :2cool:

+1 keyzy on the cartos....

Auto or Manuals....there isn't enough additional polyfill material to make a difference on draw between the Wow Cartos and the Cool Cartos. So the type of battery makes no difference since they are both 3.7v batteries.

However, I think you should try raising the post on your auto battery let us know if this helps get a better draw from those Cool Cartos. What you are describing...less vapor..less flavor...harder draw are all symptoms of a battery post that needs to raised up a little. You have any questions...I'm here for you.

Watch my video Sticky at the top of the page closely for adjusting the post, this will give a better contact with the cartomizers, as well, there should be a small gap between carto and base of the battery connector. Avoid screwing the cartomizer on so tight that is screws down all the way. The gap will allow more air to flow through air intake holes under the battery threads creating more vapor and better flavor.

Thanks Snow, I have already tried the post raising on both the batteries & the cartos, without any improvement. Maybe I'm just a Wow kinda vaper.

You have any questions...I'm here for you.
Thanks Snow, always good to know.

Hi Katz. One thing about the manual batteries: they allow you to pre-heat the batt for a couple of seconds before the draw. That is, massive hits without sucking a lung out. It's become so natural for me that I do it without thinking. Of course, I do nearly everything without thinking, but you get my drift. The family's other suggestions here make sense to me, too. Good luck!

I use both auto and manual batteries, and a PT...and I prefer the cool carts overall. My preference is due to a flavor difference that I appreciated when I first began refilling my own carto blanks. I ordered both wows and cools, and it seemed to me that the cool carts delivered a more pure taste, closer to the aroma of the juices, without any aftertaste. I like that they run cooler, as well.

I also like the fact that they hold more juice. I'm less likely to overfill them because of that.

Hmmm. So no difference in battery types then? Interestingly, since posting this thread, I've been sanding down the threads on my new chrome XLs because I couldn't screw cool cartos on at all. When I finished, I was getting lots of vapour fairly easily, though still not a huge flavour. Better though. Maybe all my batteries need sanding?

When I first started I wasn't doing the pre-heat at all and some of the flavors I found really hard to get a strong enough flavor. I thought some were "tasteless." Once I started pre-heating it made a world of difference. I always wonder if some people complaining about flavors being too light that I know use this set-up aren't pre-heating.

I'm going to throw in my 2 cents worth in here and add... if you're refilling cartos, after awhile they tend to stop up and the draw gets hard with little vapor production. And also there's the need to clean the threads and air vent holes on the batteries as well, that also will cause a hard draw and little vapor. I believe Snow... has videos for these tips as well.

Good Luck.
