That is really neat...but something tells me that placing those dots on the french manicure is not likely as easy to do as it looks. I would have that going sideways and on the clear part. lol

I have used my airbursh gun on a couple of my batteries that I no longer use to see how it would hold up with constant handling. I did a final spray with a clear sealer and so far..so good.

For my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary, I decided to paint a 901 battery and atomizer to match my mother's outfit. I added a few tiny crystals with jewel glus and she thought she was the bling bling queen in addition to being the guest of honor lol

Now, she wants me to do a flame :evil:red one with the tiny crystals.... I created a monster! :D

I don't know how much the kit in the video costs...but an airbrush kit can be as cheap as 50.00.

Trapped within my imagination
Pretty cool, I think it would be doable... but for real durability youd need to lightly sand your battery( fine grade paper- your just roughing up the slick surface and preparing it for the primer to stick) so light sanding then prime( you could tape off and do this on any place you were going to paint..or do the whole battery- which would mean it would be hard just to do the stenciling part without a back ground color under it)...And Id probably use an acrylic sealer because polyurethanes tend to yellow over time....Make sure all your products are water based don't mix oil based products with water based.. And you're good to go... I bet you janty missed one of these steps...I hear so many people complain about their paint coming off...
Anglvapin, let us know how yours holds up...I'd love to know if it holds up with just a good sealer and for how long. ( just reread yoru post..Love the addition of the crystals! talk about blink lolol) I think Id like to do a tuscany look..lightly textured with a raised/embossed stenciling..Wonder how that would feel in your hands hmmmm

LOL..I was just at my Mom's house! If I had read this earlier, I could have taken some pics. I should be back there in a couple of days and wil snag some pics and post them.

Actually, thinking about it... I may have a pic with her holding the gold one for their party. Lemme go look and will post if I have one that doesn't get too pixelated when I enlarge.

I will let you know because I am not sure anyone is as rough on things as my Mom. lol

One other thought.... I didn't sand the battery, I used liquid sandpaper which removes all gloss and slightly etches the surface so other paint will adhere. The nice thing about the liquid sandpaper is that it doesn't remove the prior color... it just dulls it and when you come back with a clear coat.... you can't even tell the liquid sandpaper was used, as it restores the gloss.

My daughter has this! It works really really well. She doesn't use it much anymore, but it really does work exactly as the commercial says. We were at the mall, and the guys stopped us and she just loved it, so I bought it. That was before all my money went to vaping supplies. 8-o
