I finished my 2nd flavor rack, I made a couple of changes to it, I made each step a 1/4" shorter, and each guard rail an 1/8" higher. the first one was just a bit to tall, this reduced it's height by 3/4". I put all my TFA flavors on the new one, and my FA flavors on the first one I made, I am done with these for now, till I get another flavor line. :)

The new rack with the TFA flavors.

The 1st one with the FA flavors.

Those "couple of changes" must have taken quite a while! I'd say you deserve to "be done" - quite a masterpiece you made there!

Actually I got this one done in just a week, the first one took me 2 weeks. the reason this one went faster, is because I went out and bought a table saw, I found one for $129.00, I was cutting everything with a circular saw, it was a pain. I got the stand done in just a day and a half, the railings took a little bit of time, because I could only put one railing on per day, because on the glue, and lack of clamps. I love this new saw, I wish I had bought it 2 years ago, there are all kinds of thing I can do with it. :)

Ooooooo...Doncha just love power tools?! Wish I had a place for using them. Oh well, at least I can use my Dremel. Having the right tools for the job makes all the difference in the world. They are worth paying as much as you can afford to get the best that you can.

Yeah having the room to put this table saw was a bit of a challenge, I have a half a basement and had to remove a shelf to have a place to put it. It is not one of the best table saws out there, in fact it was the cheapest, and fairly small compared to some of them, but it is a Ryobi. I have all kinds of ideas of what I can do with this, I am thinking about some drawers, for my mixing desk that I have not showed you yet, I will post a old picture of it, it has changed a bit now, I made this about a year and a half ago with just basic tools.

Nice! Brings back memories from another life when I had a big work table with shelving at the back like that. It took up a lot of space in the basement and was used for floral design, which was a hobby + small business for a few years. I had no trouble spending hours down there making stuff. I'm really happy for you that you have made a place to do woodworking with power tools.

I did get the wrought iron racks for all the DIY flavorings. I was a bit worried that they would be poor quality because of the low price compared to others just like them. I did unbox them and they are very nice and sturdy. I know I will like having them up on the wall, doing their job. My health is not so good and this hot weather is not helping. My energy level has been next to nothing. Also, I'm waiting on the maintenance people to come and fix the garbage disposal and pipes under the kitchen sink which began leaking on Sunday (during Labor Day weekend). So the racks are in the living room, leaning up against the couch for now. Hopefully I'll get them up on the wall soon and filled with lots of little bottles. Just wanted to give an update and I will post pics.

Well I hope your health improves, and you get your racks up soon. I think you should be getting a break from the heat soon if not already, I know we are in Indy, but with it comes rain, at least it is not 95 outside. I did start on some drawers, for more organizing, I got one of them working, (still working on the face board) I found out that just one drawer was not enough, and started on 3 more last weekend. Once I got the drawer working I had it filled with mixing supplies in like 1 minute.

Thanks - I get flare-ups that make it difficult to do much of anything, but it will pass. The temp outside has finally dropped to 72 and the air feels nice! I just now opened the windows and turned off the air conditioning that has been running practically non-stop for a couple days. Ah, relief is sweet. You are making so much progress! You are helping to motivate me. Filling the empty drawer so fast is good - Now all those mixing supplies have a home! Progress!

I also found a medicine cabinet by the side of the road. We live in an apartment, so mounting it to a wall or in one was not an option. So I built a brace for the cabinet with 2x2's and 2x4's and the cabinet sits on 2 "feet" made of 1/2" x 4" boards about 9" long. The feet are attached to the brace for the cabinet and the whole thing sits on top of another 2 drawer cabinet that was thrown out by a local hotel. My "office" is pretty small at 4' by 6', but everything is within close reach of a swivel chair.

I also use this as my mod building station, there is an SMD rework station under the stainless shelf on the right of the pic.
