Managed to order a tc40w for £25! ($36)
Which is cheaper and seems better than my coolfire , battery and ohm wise
It's a good mod. I used one for months. It had a very accurate ohm meter I just wanted one with external batteries and bought the 60 TC. A couple months ago a Vaper broke her mod and needed one and u sold the 40tc to her and she LOVES IT.

AHHHHHH! then this is indeed a VERY possible SAFETY issue... the coolfire4 is an INTERNAL BATTERY MOD- Therefore, if the Coolfire4 is throwing overheating-codes/messages, and if the device is NOT vaping as it should, this means that the BATTERY COULD-BE MALFUNCTIONING!!! The internal battery may be reaching it's limit, and getting-ready to vent/explode/etc.

Yes, it sounds like the internal temp of the battery has been rising each day... I would STOP using this mod & move-on to your next favorite mod in your lineup. Thank god for the vaping golden rule "Have Backups for your backups" right? I do hope that you've got a 2nd mod, or at-least Ego batteries? I hope you do! If you do-not, I can show u where u can get a mod for under 5 bucks right now. Now then- Please wait for a few more opinions b4 tossing the CF4, okay? I may be wrong, but from everything you've said thus-far, and since the coolfire4 is an internal-battery mod with no way of exchanging the battery, it's not lookin good. You may want to Youtube/Google "change coolfire4 internal battery" to see if any modders have found it easy to change the internal battery for a new one with the same specs. Occassionally, an internal battery mod such as your Coolfire4, will have an internal battery so easy to exchange, that there is abundant info on the internet on how to change it out for a brand-new LiPo battery pack. check n see!

Otherwise... I'm afraid...

It may-be time for a new mod, my friend. I'm sorry. :( But yes, this would-be considered a safety issue.

Gotta say, I agree. It's true that electronics sometimes emit a very high-pitched sound, but it's usually so faint that none but my bat-ears can hear it. Electronics making a sound that loud cannot possibly be a good thing, and given the type of battery it is (LiPo, not safer-chemistry IMR), it would be a good idea to turn it off with the switch on the bottom, put some electrical tape over the 510 aperture, and recycle it ASAP. And certainly, don't use it. CF4's have good venting, which is great, but you don't want to be holding it when it vents.

Condolences. I love my CF4s, but sometimes the best mods can just be lemons.
