Coolfire IV Burnt Taste----Help Please!

Coolfire IV, BURNT TASTE!
I've changed the coil, thoroughly cleaned all parts with alcohol and a Q-tip. Still tastes pretty bad. Wish I could get that sweet watermelon taste back again while I'm vaping my fave "Vapor Trail" juice by Moon Mountain, 6mg.
What could be the matter???

The coolfire is the power device, what delivery device/topper/tank are you using?
When bought in kit form most often it comes with the isub 'tank' which has a wide selection of various resistance & wire type replaceable attomizer heads.
Which heads are you using?
Are you properly priming them before use?
Thouroughly saturate all exposed wicking material, install in base, fill tank, let sit a few minutes, take a few unpowered primer puffs.
Always start a new head at a lower power level & gradually work you way up over at least the first half tank.
What power level are you using?
Too much power too soon will singe or burn the wicking material.

Yeah, I'd say it's pretty hard to isolate a cause without more information. What tank, wattage, did you prime it? Etc. As a general rule if your tank got really burnt, it may be helpful to replace the O-rings as they can sometimes retain a "taste" and sometimes that taste it "burnt" but it could be simply tons of other things. Help us help you by giving us a little more info!

If priming the head/coil doesn't stop the burn, Vicki at Cignot taught me to slip a thin needle or straight pin down the side of the wick just a tiny bit, one time.

Hi and welcome. Also check to make sure where you have the watts set. If too high, you might be burning the new coil with the first button push. Start low and slow on a new coil.

Could Be a case of the dreaded vapor tongue. It happens to me sometimes where your juice don’t have the same flavor intensity. You have to clean your palate. Maybe try switching juices or my favorite, do shots of tequila. The tequila works by challenging your taste buds to taste flavor again. It also makes you happy and not worry about such things. I don’t think scientists have figured out what causes vapor tongue or how to properly treat it yet. Try my trick with tequila. It doesn’t have to be a premium tequila but they are usually more palatable. Be careful not to overdue it, don’t do more than 10 shots over a one hour period. About 8 is my sweet spot but everyone is different. Every hour reassess the situation and try the watermelon again. Good luck and let us know how it works. Oh yea almost forgot, don’t drive and if you have responsibilities tomorrow stop after 4 hours.
