The battery cap is SS (I think?)
I think the 510 could possibly be too,so with 2 parts in SS,that should definitely be enough to classify it that way haha.

In all fairness though,i'm glad they are aluminum, makes for a very lite mod, especially compared to the brass one that's as heavy as a brick.

+1 on it being Light vs Heavy.

It is also a "Good" Alum for this application.

It feels like 7075 T6 or T6511.

I've found that with mechanicals, electrical efficiency is inherent in the design or it isn't. It generally cannot be simply or cheaply added through modification.

I think you are right, you can effect a short term fix, but if the design, materials or the manufacturing tolerances are out then sooner or later you end up with problems again.
FWIW I think a simple box design with as many fixed connection points as possible is the way to go if you want to keep the costs down and achieve the lowest voltage drop possible.

I have BF ready Hastur and a Derringer that I will convert on it's way from FT. Though as it's been 9 weeks now I'm resigning myself to the possibility that that order is lost.
I've been using the CV with a V1 and a V2 Velocity, both of which have sufficiently large chambers that I have to use a really low build to get the vape I want. Which is impractical in terms of battery life. So I'm shelfing the mod until they arrive or I get a different atty.

I ordered and am still waiting for the SXK Hadaly, what is your opinion of ShenRay? I have not tried any of their products.
Thanks.

I don't have an opinion other than anecdatal information gathered through research. These will be my first RDAs - Origen, Narda, & Hadaly. When I was researching RDAs on FT and elsewhere I kept seeing discussions insisting on seeing a ShenRay clone of this or that. So I'm operating on a theory here that these will be premium clones so to speak. That said I've heard only great things about the SXK Hadaly clone, but for the tight o-ring issue. Perhaps someone can chime in with some first hand knowledge.

I have the Shenray Hadaly clone and also 2 Shenray Origen little clones.I don't have any other brands to compare them too yet,i have the Sxk Hadaly clone on the way,but don't have it yet,but all 3 of the Shenray clones i have are very good quality.

remove 1 o-ring on the SXK Hadaly. ( I removed the TOP one)

Then it pops off with easy.
I'll have to remember that when it gets here.My Shenray one,the cap is on firm enough to stay on,but is still easy to pull off when needed.

Works well , i have many sizes of Bf pins , ive converted over. Kennedy ,
also Virus RDA , which requires a longer pin than fat daddy sells ,
which is what I posted a few weeks back , the 16mm long pins i cut down to around 12-13mm+ , think fat daddy only went to 10 or 12 so was to short ,

Perhaps you could measure the O-rings on both and let us know if they are different. If the Shenray fits better and it's a matter of the size of the O-rings, we unfortunate SXK owners could get a different size for a better fit. :)

I am waiting for my silver CV to arrive but when I ordered, I was really tempted to get the brass. Love the look of the brass but was concerned that the weight might be uncomfortable. It's hard to tell from the comments that I've read if people are pleased that they got it or are putting up with it because that's what they have.
Any opinion from those that have the brass and one of the others (black or siver)?

It is HEAVY.
I got it knowing this, but thinking it would be cool - and it is, and I like having both.
But it is most certainly a DESK mod - if you want an all-purpose mod, which includes actually carrying it around, then you don't probably get the brass for that.
:D
Hope that helps!

I got a couple messages from FT on FB concerning the brass plated pins. I had suggested that they get ss pins to put in the spare parts kit. Even after two messages, they seem to think I am having a problem with mine as they want to send me another kit. I explained my pin was ok, and I already have a kit just in case, but was just suggesting the SS pin would be a good idea. So I dunno, probably no ss pins coming. I have FD's arriving today anyway, so whatever. :)

One little niggle I have on my CV, is that turning the button just slightly locks it. I'd like it to have a little more movement before it locks. When I take it apart for cleaning again I'm gonna see if with a little dremeling I can get the button to turn further before locking.
