Yes I do, but maybe I didn't get it cinched down tight enough.

It doesn't take a Ton of Force to make a Good Seal. Just Good and Snug.

Could the e-Liquid be coming from the Bottle/Cap seal and not from the 510 Pin? Maybe try Switching to a New Bottle and see if Anything changes?

The more I think about it, if the Bottle/Can seal was Bad, you would probably be getting e-Liquid all down the Outside of the Bottle. And not so much in the Top of the CV.

But might try it all the same.
The bottle fits cylinder like a piston. If there is juice on the bottle, it can be lifted & enter the battery chamber when the bottle is slid into place.

I'll try a new bottle when I put it all back together again. There was no juice on the bottle, the outside was dry.

It's worth a Shot.

I'm a Big Believer in trying Easy Fixes even if the chances of them Working might Not be all that great.

I haven't had mine apart yet, but don't they put a tiny o-ring in the spares, that goes under the 510 pin?

that is a fix for making rda's with shorter 510's fit...don't think it's for leaking. Most of my leaking inside of my mod (a CC) has been a bad seal from worn out tubing, swap that, and good to go again

The 510 pin snapped on my CV last week. I had a spare part kits on order from FT, and luckily enough, it arrived the next day. It's back together and working, but makes me wonder if I used to much force tightening the 510 after cleaning? Not sure how tight I should try to get the bottle attached to the 510.

I did submit a ticket to FT and they are sending a replacement out to me. I wasn't sure how their customer service would be, but it wasn't a hassle to get resolved.

I also received a new drip tank this week to use with it and it is friggin awesome! The Pindad Drip Tank by Bombertech. It's a 22mm RDTA with a 2ml tank, dual/single coil option, and comes with a squonk pin. Extremely smooth airflow and excellent flavor to boot. I haven't seen many reviews or posts about it, which surprises me because of how great it is.

Coppervape Refresh

My first Coppervape was getting a bit scratched up after five months, and a second had just arrived, so I decided to refresh the finish of the old one and fix a couple of things that I've wanted to since getting it: the sharp edge around the squonk window, and the sharpish edge around the top surface of the fire button. The new mod is on the left for comparison.

The button was just a matter of removing and chucking it in a drill press at low to medium speed, forming a chamfer with a file, then smoothing it out gently with a medium metal finishing pad (link below). Just removing the little bit you see here is enough to take away any feeling of sharpness.

IMAG2430_picmonkeyed.jpg

The squonk window edge was mostly hand work with a small round file. A 1/2" Dremel sanding drum or fine grinding wheel will also work, but are a bit harder to control. Rough a small chamfer (half mm or so) evenly around the edge. Don't worry about smoothing out all the file marks perfectly. The metal finishing pad will blend it out when you do the outside surface.

The outside surface finish is the easiest part. Clamp one end of the pad to the edge of a table, and work the mod over it pushing away from you using both hands to keep the grain straight and consistent. As you work the squonk window over the pad press hard. The pad will conform around the chamfer enough to round it out and remove the file marks.

IMAG2438_picmonkeyed.jpg

And you're done. About 5 min. for the button, 10 min. for filing the squonk window, and another 10 min. for the outside finish. The resulting surface looks very close to new stock, and the mod now feels so much better all around. It's amazing how soft an edge can feel just rounding it by half a mm.

Looks Great West!

I did my Black CV a very Similar way. But left the Squonk window untouched so there would be a Black Detail along the Edge.

Now the Black is starting to wear. So when I get some Motivated time, I'm going to Roll the Edge like you did on yours.

I like the look of it. And at least twice, I've thought about their RDA, the Firefly.
But both seem to rely on wicking from a deep well - something I kind of don't want to do, therefore I squonk.
Long wicks never seem to keep up... Most of my favorite attys, I'm squonking every couple puffs... I guess I like my wicks DRENCHED, lol.

So I haven't pulled the trigger...

So, what's it like squonking a tank?

It's great. Squonk to fill it up, take 30-40 puffs, then squonk again. No issues with keeping the wicks wet. I've only been squonking for a couple of months, and haven't changed how I wick. I have seen some reviews that say to use minimal wick so it just touches the deck, but I don't like having to squonk so often. The drip tank solves that problem for me :)

Squonking RDTAs are my thing lately. After I got the Split which comes with BF, I converted five more, small to large: Nectar Mini V2, Corolla V1.5, Avocado 22, Magma Reborn 24, and Limitless 24.

Having used them for awhile, I'd say the main advantage is the consistency of the vape. Unlike the ups and downs of squonking RDAs of different types with different size juice holes, once you get the build/wicking you want in a BF RDTA, the whole bottle will be the same great vape. And the warning of juice level is visual, not a dry hit or gurgle. I still use a bunch of my favorite RDAs for squonking, but the benefits of the RDTAs are starting to push them aside for everyday use.
