This mod stopped working and is giving no power to the atomizer. I have checked the battery and is ok. When I put the mulitmeter to the center pin and threads, press the fire button and get no reading.

Wondering if the wiring for the switch got melted running .6 ohms mini DID clone?

Would love to see this thing apart before I rip it apart lol.

Not a month old and not happy with this result but before this loved the top sided button. Any help or direction would be appreciated as I would like to get it going and not sure where to start...

the L Rider Corolla is on the far right. there is a wire from the button to the center pin that is broken. I just wish I knew how to get it apart from the top. It is going to be hell to solder the damn thing still together.

Well as the pictures show it went from broken to repaired and vaping again. This repair was not easy. I first tried to resolder with the same wire that was in there since it showed good. But I had to replace it and went with a heavier gauge. Could not get it all apart so had to solder through the button hole. (Insert many cuss words)
After it is working like a champ again. Hopefully with the larger gauge wire it will hold up to my RBA builds.

I hope this information can help someone else. I also thought this to be a true mechanical mod. Found out when it stopped working and pulled the button that it had that small wire inside.
What I replaced that wire with was like a 22ga I think. Just some wire I had laying around from some ohm resistors I had installed on my truck blinkers when i upgraded to LED.
There isn't much room to work inside or for too large of a gauge wire.
I had to reposition where the wire is soldered to the button, several times in order to get it to work. The soldered wire was hitting on the insulator that holds the battery top connection. I would have posted pictures but they didn't come out.

I am somewhat DIY and especially when it comes to something that isn't a month old. But figured what did I have to lose lol.

Sorry to hear about your trouble, but glad to hear you got it fixed. I just ordered the V2 Corolla from MadVapes which also claims to be purely mechanical. I am hoping that this is something they fixed in the V2. Either by being actually mechanical or at the very least using a decently large wire to hold the kind electrical abuse I plan on putting this baby through. At $54 it dang well better be mechanical as I could have gotten the telescope mechanical MUCH cheaper.

So, wadda ya call a PV (like this) that doesn't have any electronic parts, has nothing but a mechanical electrical switch, but isn't a purely mechanical mod kinda PV like we think of mechanicals?

(yeah, wiseass answers are welcome, but really, it's a serious question.)

Not my type of device either way but would calling it a "Wired Mechanical" satisfy the purest in the crowd?

when you turn the locking nut it will stop and then you can just unscrew the button. The wire is soldered to the stem on the bottom and you will see how small the wire is in there. Also very little room to work with an iron.

I would call it a hybrid mechanical. There is a name for the design but can't think of it right now for the life of me lol.

Now is yours a v1 or v2? I can't actually unscrew my switch.
