My FT order just hit Chicago, 2 months after it arrived at Shanghai airport. Faster than some, slower than others.
Stuff that arrives at Chicago tends to not have a smooth ride the rest of the way. Long waits in Chicago followed by meandering side trips around the US. But that's easier to handle than the long wait at a Chinese airport with no updates.

I need your advice, my dear friends. It's been 8 months since I last ordered from China. My last package from FT, shipped on October 29, 2019, is still somewhere in Los Angeles, according to the tracking number. 
So I tried to place another order from FT, hoping that the worst is over...
My big order from FT, which was supposed to be ready to ship today, suddenly changed and 7 out of 9 items are delayed again subject to restocking. I got mad, canceled everything, went to 3FVape, ordered the same items--half of them can't be shipped in the same order because they ship from a different warehouse, 2 ship in 24 hr, 2 in 3-7 days; they are telling me to split my order again--so now it's three separate orders each with extra shipping???? And nothing is free, even though I'm over 15 bucks even if I split the orders. WHAT????
And how do I know if I want US Express-Line1, ePacket by China Post, USPS small packet? There is no way I'm paying DHL $34.33 x 3. That's more than my entire order is worth.
Now, if I go back to FT and reload my cart, which shipping upgrade do I choose? There are so many... I have always, for years, used the standard epacket (USPS) that came free with orders over 20. Never had to wait longer than 2, rarely 3 weeks (I'm on the West Coast). I don't mind paying extra, I just want to choose the best option. I'm in no big hurry, but I would like to get this package in a reasonable amount of time. And I don't want it to get lost again.

If you choose to go back to Fasttech the quickest shipping upgrade to the US is USPS Expedited Service. This will get it to the US the quickest(other than DHL which cost a bloody fortune
) and then it's up to USPS Postal Service to get it delivered to you.That way it won't get caught up in China for very long

I just placed a small order last week, it finally shows shipped today (one item went into restocking and delayed it). I chose "USPS Expedited Service to the USA" and paid an extra $4.29, which for as small as the order was, was a high price. It has a regular USPS tracking number instead of the LY*********CN tracking number. I always used the free shipping before CV. The most recent one that just hit the US I picked US Express ePacket. I think that was the cheapest upgrade option. It's 2 months now and it's reached Chicago.
From what I've seen it's rare for FT stuff to not arrive at all. Sounds like yours is down to the US postal system not FT. I really don't know what difference the FT options make these days. It might not even matter what you choose. Or maybe it does. There seems to be a bit of a pattern from what I've seen in this thread and others. More recent orders are taking a couple of months, orders from earlier in the pandemic period seem to have got lost in the system and can take a really long time. Maybe I'm imagining it though.
My last 4PX took 6 days, shipper's door to JFK…

Well that is promising. It might make me actually pull the trigger and order something from China. What is the shipping cost like on 3F? (Normally I would look myself, but currently on a work laptop and it is frowned upon).
The orders i've done through 3F,the shipping has varied,not sure if it's price dependent or weight,but it has averaged between like $3.50 to a little over $5.I have a cart waiting there now that is showing almost $8 for shipping,but it's a bigger order than the others,so both more expensive and heavier.
That is pretty reasonable. I recall that Sourcemore was something similar when I was browsing their site.
Yeah,i don't mind a small shipping charge as long as i get my stuff in reasonable time,my first was the only longish wait at about a month,but it was right after they started opening stuff back up over there,so i figure there was a big backlog.My orders from Ft with free shipping have all been 2+ months lately,so i'm more than happy to pay a small price to get it faster haha.
I've never ordered from Sourcemore,but i remember when i was thinking of ordering from them,like you say,it was very similar through them.
