Correct me if I'm wrong, but...100mg/ml?

So I'm waiting on my 100mg/ml nic to show up in the mail. And was playing/practicing with the e-juice me up calculator and my math seems off.
100mg/ml means that .9ml=90mg?
I'm making a "sample" size of 5ml of a single flavor(grape)
Target nicotine is 18mg when im done. When i put that into the calculator, it calculates that i should add .9ml to my 5ml bottle. ???

Am i goin crazy or does anyone else see where i might be concerned? I've done the math so many times in my head that now i think that i am OVERthinking it, despite what the calculator is telling me. Any help would be appreciated!!

so i am actually going to add 90mg to the bottle, but it will be divided by 5. So, hypothetically, if i vape the entire 5mil bottle, i will have vaped 90mg of nicotine?
when you say it like that, it sure sounds like a lot...

You math is correct. Simpler terms.. 100mg per ml. You want the final at 18mg SO, 18 times 5 = 90. Your strength is 100mg/ml, so .9 of a ml is 90 mg. Confused yet.

Sure, it sounds like a lot, but how many ml in 1 puff (fractions of a ml)? You are not going to use all 5 ml at once. And you will not absorb all the nic that is there in the juice. A cigarette has around 10 mg of nicotine in it, but only delivers about 1 mg. if you look at a pack of cigarettes, that's ~200 mg of nicotine sitting right there in a box.

What's more important imo, do you know how to handle 100 mg nic safely?

Okay. I've got it now. I figured if i posted it on here and it was as wrong as i thought it was, someone would definitely be shouting at me by now. I was just looking at it from a very cautious standpoint. wanted to make sure since i am a new DIY'er. Thanks for your input! I'm thinking about just cutting it down to a whole bunch of 24mg nic base so i dont have to worry about this in the future...or at least for a VERY long while.
500ml of 100mg nic will definitely make a ton of 24mg base. I figure that me, my family, my friends, maybe a stranger...will all be set for a long while
