corrosion at joint treading?

I use the flashlight mod have Corrosion at joints ie screw part of theflashlight kind of like a burnt tar or soot I had this problem with a 905 I boughtfor way more than I made this one for $5 for the one I maid vs 60 for thebought one. any to reduce or prevent this soot spiting on it helps when I’m stuckweight I just thought of something water based lube I think this might work butI don’t have any. Anyone have any ideas

Petroleum jelly, sold in the states as Vaseline, works great. If it's aluminum it will keep doing it a little but lube helps - any kind should do.

...goto hardware or box store and get a jar/tube of "Noalox" from the electrical section...used for this purpose, it will last 56years(or until you run out)..............

turns out with a bit of research Vegetable Glycerine seemslike a good choice fairly high boiling point very conductive i don’t think Vaselineis conductive it’s a petroleum KY jelly overhear in Europe is a water based lubeanother thing that should be good is hand lotion going to try these two as I couldnot find the above even in a proper electricians wholesaler
