I asked this question earlier, but it was buried at the end of someone else's thread, so it may go unanswered. Therefore, I thought I would just ask directly in my own thread.

Can someone help me with something? I am very new to vaping and my first, (and only) PV purchase was for the Vapor King. It uses cartomizers and from what I have read and seen on youtube, they can be refilled. Up to as many as 10 times if your lucky. Ok. Sounds simple enough. Where I am getting confused is with the 3 piece PV's. You can refill the cartridges, but for how many times? Forever? And then you have atty's that only last for a while. What is the cost comparisons for atty's and cartridges in relation to the replacement cost of cartomizers?

Depends on your voltage that your PV is running at. The regular voltage (3.7v) can have a 3 piece pv atty last I've heard up to a couple months but typical is a couple weeks or so I've heard. So if your like me and vape 2ml of juice a day that costs 6 bucks for 10ml (typical) then I'm looking at $36 bucks a month in juice plus lets say 2 attys at 8 bucks a piece then I'm looking at 50-60 bucks a month for me. It can vary a lot though, I have a 6v chuck and have burned through 3 attys in 5 days. So that 18 attys a month at 8 bucks so my current addiction would end up costing me $144 a month plus juice! 8-o lol

With the carts for the three-piece, you can fill them forever if you occasionally refill the cart material. We use the white Fluval aquarium water cleaner material. Lots of videos show how but it's very simple to cut a small piece and refill the open cart. One $5 box of Fluval is going to last us at least a year. In regard to the atomizers, we've had, and have, atomizers that have lasted for months and produce strong vapor and throat hit. We just blow them out once in a while and that's all we do to clean them. Our atomizers are about $7 and the battery is about $12. Since we began vaping on July 1, we've spent $1,000 less than if we had been smoking analog tobacco cigs.

I have a M401 and 510. I use the 510 daily and only occasionally the M401. I abuse my 510's and have just replaced my second atty in 5 months. I just ordered the first replacement atties Monday. So I've had real good luck with the 510 atties and trust me when I say abuse, I mean abuse.

The M401, on the other hand, I lost 3 atties in 3 weeks. 2 from one supplier and the 1 from another supplier. I have more now but I don't use it very often so telling you how long I've used it doesn't really mean alot.

Basically it depends on which model you have and then it's luck of the draw I think. I hear both sides. As far as carts lasting, As long as they aren't damaged or worn out and fit loosely, you can keep using. Cart I have now I've been using for 3 months. It's been refilled countless times. Of course I've about got it chewed to pieces. :)

I use a foam mod on my 510 cartridges. The piece of marineland foam that I got for $10 should last two of us for 5 years. It's just used as a plug on the top of the cartridge. In 6 months of heavy vaping for two on 510's, I've lost one atomizer. I clean them about once a week in 151 vodka. My bulk rate for attys is $4.59 and at this rate, I have enough to last me into the next century :)

I go through about 25ml of juice a week at a cost of around $3. I make some of my own and have gotten some good prices on bulk juice orders. Even at retail at heaven gifts just for example it's around $7.50/week.
