I think you can save a ton w/DIY...but for me, DIY is not worth the cost of my time - many people think differently though.

I've tried many brands of liquids, and settled on the one that was best for me. Some of the cheap great deals I got 6months ago, are still just sitting here in a box.
All I do to save now, is I rarely buy smaller than a 50ml, and I buy enough to get the free shipping, in the rare event they have a sale - I stock up like a crazy person.

I thought I would save money with ecigs, but that $$ savings in my sig is a great big lie. BUT, I don't smoke, my vapor tastes great, and I'm happy with my choices.
:)

I think "best" is dependent on each individual. I buy ejuice and I make my own. I chain Vape so the majority of what I Vape I make myself. I go through 15ml a day, plus my husband Vapes, and I supply my moms ejuice. So, I need a lot of ejuice. About 95% of what I Vape I make myself the other 5% are usually new juices I buy just to taste test.

Nicoticket makes awesome juice. All their flavors are top notch!

Killer Juice has some descent juices and runs sales ever week (Thursday thru Sunday) for .99 for 15ml. I've found a few delicious juices during these sales.

Bryce's Ejuices are also delicious.

I buy my 100mg nicotine by the liter at Hearland Vapes for 64.99. I also get PG and VG there very cheap as well. This will last a very long time. I buy my flavorings from a few places but mostly I use Flavor West or Flavor Art. I can make juice at .03 a ml and it tastes as good as any other juice out there.

It's all up to what you want to do.

bulk e juice.or..diy juice...which is best ? or just watch for sales at local shops...what do you do?

That depends on how much you are willing to initially spend and how much effort you care to put into it.

I started out buying my juice which is what I would recommend to any new vapor, as you need to find out what good juice tastes like before you start making your own ;D

DIY is more cost efficient by far but you will have to lay down a nice chunk of change for start up costs such as supplies, VG, PG, and nicotine.

It comes down to personal preference. I myself DIY but that's after I had been vaping for a while. I only chose DIY because I go through much juice I couldn't afford it anymore.

I have saved a tremendous amount by making my own ejuice. I was bing e juice any where from 6 to 12 dollars for one bottle. I vape around 6mg to 10 mg a day and so does my husband. That can get really expensive. That said doing it myself I can get a giant jug of pg and vg at 17 dollars a bottle, my nicotine for a large bottle of 100 mg is 40 dollars, large bottles of flavors is 3.00 and small bottles 1.50. I already have all my flavors right not but as I run out I will buy new ones. My hubby and I figured it costs us around .15 cents a bottle as compared to 6 to 12 dollars a bottle. That's a huge savings. I know everyone is different but unless you don't vape very much, I can't see how it wouldn't be worth it? I reuse and boil my bottles for the next use. Basically between my hubby and I we both go through a 10 ml bottle a day. That would have been awfully expensive!! For me it's the best thing I've ever started doing. I make my juice exactly the way I like it, I don't have to wait for the mail to bring it and I know exactly what's in it! It's definitely something I'll continue doing. Also after making my own, store juice just don't cut it. If I want to add more flavor I do, can't do that with store juice. Diy has really helped my family save money in that area!!

Unfortunately/fortunately I'm a simpleton and DIY very cheaply. When I started though I was buying a juice I liked for $20 per 30ml bottle plus shipping. Ridiculously expensive but I quit smoking and that is priceless, or at least it will save a fortune in medical bills. Never even got sick last winter for the first time in years. I think it's like everything else with vaping, you have to do what works for you. Also, if you are just starting out, what tastes good today may well not in a few weeks or months.

I started DIY when I was vaping 0mg. It seemed silly to buy 0mg juice when I could make it so simply, and there was huge room for error, and no problems adding flavor or vg/pg if something was off. It really doesn't take that much time, especially when you set aside the time to do a bunch at once. Now I vape at 3mg, and it is still simple. Premixing my unflavored simplifies it even further-- I have nearly a quart! LOL I wouldn't even think of buying bulk juice, I rotate flavors so fast. And your taste changes, then you have whole bunches of juice you no longer like.

If you are concerned about cost, we have a support group. Shineys are a problem, too. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/575871-dollar-day-group.html http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/groups/category-miscellaneous-groups.html

I got into DIY not for costs but for a chance to control the taste. I read so many good/bad reviews on the same ejuice I got confused and didn't know what to make of it. It just made sense to make my own and create what I thought tasted good :). The savings are a bonus! I now make juice for several others who enjoy my flavors as well.

Cost?? DIY hands down. I can make a 10ml bottle for about $.35. Yes, time and startup costs are a factor. I have found that after the initial expense and experimentation, I have settled on a handful of juices I vape all the time. I mix those in 60ml quantities as needed. This frees up my time to fiddle with a few different flavors and perhaps find a good one. It also cuts down on my expense as I can order larger quantities of flavors for those juices.

Good luck, and welcome to ECF!

In the end it's all going to be a matter of what you like. I do a little DIY, and used to purchase large quantities of cheap juice. Now I'm finding that flavor is most important. through many attempts to create flavors and combos, none seem to have that special quality that really grabs me. I have found a vendor that has flavor profiles that are right up my alley and although the cost is more it's worth it. It's safe to say that a third of the juice I have I'll never vape, I'll PIF it to someone. the second third will get mixed with something else to make both better and be vaped, the other third is pure gold and I vape the heck out of it, replace it often and really enjoy it. It's that last third that keeps me satisfied and away from analogs.

I DIY and not only is it cheaper as others as said you are in control...Im not big into a lot of flavor I like it light. That way I can make mine up at like 8 percent and be happy. The start up costs are high but if you get it in bulk you are good for 6 months.

I use totally glass...even for my flavorings. You can find super cheap prices for glass bottles on Ebay. And as for my time I look at it like cooking for the week. I spend a half hour every other Sat mixing and it cost me a average of 10 bucks a month. Plus I am finally able to steep some flavors for a couple of months where I couldn't do that before when buying pre mixed cause I could only afford like 6 flavors a month..

Now I have like 20 to pick from! LOL

I just started DIY and it is a lot cheaper. It doesn't have to be crazy expensive to start either. Start small. there isn't as much equipment needed as you might think, and most of it is very affordable. check most of the DIY sites for the stuff you need. A few bottles a few syringes a few (brain fart, can't think of the word for those tall mixing bottles) if you want to make larger batches, I just make mine right in their own bottles 10 ml at a time. Buy a few flavors you know you'll like, and a small bottle of nic juice, vg and pg. Total cost may be between 70 and 100 to start. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't. I get my stuff from myfreedomsmokes.

It really doesn't take a whole lot of time to DIY either. Of course you can take a lot of time making complicated mixes if you like, but simple 1 or 2 flavor mixes don't take a lot of time to mix up. Most online calculators make it simple to determine amounts too.

Buy a little more each week/month depending on how much juice you use each day/week and the supply and flavor list will grow.

236ml size quantities of pre-mixed flavors are in the $36-40 range at Mt. Baker Vapor (10% discount code: vaporfrombaker) and Killer Juice.

This equates to about 16¢ / ml, $2.25/ 15ml and <$5 / 30ml

Killer Juice has 'shake-n-vape' products. Basically pre-mixed non-flavored base liquid, and then simply add flavor.

Drops to about 9¢ / ml, $1.25/15ml, $2.70 / 30ml

Kind of a simplified & intermediate step to full-out DIY.

I just ordered some of the base at 24mg nic and plan to add some vg from the local drugstore chain to thin the nic down to taste. Drops the price / ml even further.

Oh yeah, I do watch the Killer Juice site every Thursday for the 99¢ sale!

PS - Elizabeth B mentions HeaRtland Vapes as a vendor for DIY stuff: http://wholesale.heartlandvapes.com/ - looks like great prices.
