Anything that uses the terms "bacon", "unicorn", or "narwhal" is just marketing using popular internet phrases or memes and is most likely just an average product that's trying to take advantage of those terms popularity. It's a cash grab for a run of the mill product.

I get that too, to some degree. For instance, I use KGD. And while a I get a year's supply (or maybe even two years) for about $12, that is a bit more expensive compared to bags of cotton balls. My choice says, this stuff is better cotton! So, Cotton Bacon V2 may be good cotton, but as soon as things like this are repackaged as a vape product and gone so far as to have a "version 2," it turns comical. Even if it's good, I feel it's a joke.

Note: me saying this stuff is like a joke is not a knock of those that use it. It's also not saying the product is no good. It's the marketing of it.

I'm not sure what your first response to this thread meant, but I did try to litter my review with as much sarcasm as possible. It is completely silly lol. But I do find that it is decent cotton.

You know, everyone would be all over Cotton Turnip. Maybe it would be a clone though. Maybe I should hurry up and patent Cotton Turnip.

I have been looking to buy Japanese (Puff) cotton but Amazon seems to call it an add on item so i couldn't just buy it outright , sucks.
I wanted to test Japanese cotton, so I bought this (15 pads for $7, a bit expensive, but 3 different manufacturers to try):
Amazon.com : Koh Gen Do, Cotton Labo & MUJI Japanese Organic Unbleached Cotton Top 3 Brands Set (5pcs x 3) (15) : Beauty
I started with KGD... Do not know when I will try another type. It looks like one pad will lasts me for half year.

Oh yeah? Well I'm going to make Jedi Vapers Cotton. It is grown directly in an RDA. Every piece has been disinfected through a proprietary Millennium Falcon ride on the new movie's set. Then, each piece has been taken through a thermoformer set to 409ºF to shape it like a light saber handle. A DNA chip will also be installed so that when you push the button on the handle, it will grown into the full light saber, automatically gauge itself for your coil, slide into place, and trims itself. You would think this would be enough. However, it will then begin to triple twist itself, while braiding with 10g cotton (that spontaneously pop's out of the trimmed wick) into triple twisted braided cotton to make the most radical wick you have ever seen. It will be sold by the rewick will cost $111.23/piece.

Okay, I don't want this thread to get taken down for any of those that are actually interested.

In all seriousness, on day 2 with this cotton bacon, the flavor seems to be holding up better than I'm used to. We'll see how long it really lasts. As for it's durability? It's beginning to look exactly like my organic cotton on day 2. It definitely tastes different (better) though.

I rewicked my Lemo 2 with it last night and it does not have the initial cotton taste I'm used to with my organic cotton balls. That taste does go away very quickly though.

Worth it? If you're in a pinch and don't want to make another stop to pick up your usual... Sure. Would I buy it regularly? Probably not.

Do you have any temp control mods? If so, how do you like them?

I do, a VS DNA40 and a VF 40 watt clone. I set them up to give me the power I set and to lower the power if the wick runs a bit dry. They both do the job just fine once you get the hang of them :)

I appreciate the system when using tanks that sometimes don't wick fast enough. The root cause in these cases though is I didn't set the tank up correctly and so have the power too high for the setup. Until I correct the problem it will not vape at the power I set anyway so it will not be the vape I want. If the setup wicks fast enough the only time TP would kick in is if something changes or it runs out of juice and that doesn't happen often. I mostly use RDAs and have gone back to non TP mode and Kanthal with them. I find I prefer Kanthal over Ni, Ti or combinations of either of them with Kanthal because of the ease of use and dry burning.

I'm actually thinking of selling these mods but haven't made up my mind yet. Their value has gone down quite a bit, but if I never use them I'll get nothing out of them. Besides, this technology is changing so fast I might be able to buy one mod in a few months from the money I would get back, which might be much more to my liking. Decisions, decisions, LOL.

I simply dunno... I started out by using the plain and simple $0.88 bag of cotton balls that one could find at CVS or RiteAid etc. Then the neighbor tells me, "you simply have to try this new cotton I found, it's called Cotton Bacon", so she gives me some. A month or so later she tells me "You've simply got to try this organic Japanese cotton that everybody has been raving about" so she hands me a pad.

I have to be honest folks... FOR ME, as long as I had wicked my coil good, and wasn't blocking juice channels or doing something else stupid (like not putting the wick down into the wicking area but instead left it sitting upwards) all three of them produced the same flavor to me.

If the cotton bacon or the OJC had produced even a hint of better vaping, flavor, etc I'd be all over it but it doesn't for me. The only thing that I like about the OJC is that it's easier to work with than the regular cotton balls that I can buy at the local pharmacy or even the grocery store. The OJC is smoother to slide through the coil, but that's not a big enough benefit to me to put out the price tag for so little just because it's been repackaged for vaping.

I'd really love to see the fellow on this forum with the electron microscope do some side by sides of regular cotton balls, organic cotton balls, Organic Japanese Cotton, Cotton Bacon and any other cotton that is the flavor of the month so to speak.

Please dont or I would probably buy it in a heartbeat and forsake my trusty $2 ball of cotton yarn I get at Michaels that will last me like 10 years. I have enough trouble already walking by the toy aisle in Target, god forbid I even set foot in a Toys R Us nowadays. 40 years old and Im STILL giving George Lucas ridiculous merchandising profits..

I love the bacon. It's all I use. It wicks faster, holds more juice per volume and definitely lasts longer. I bought that same package 3 months ago and haven't used half of it yet. I have 9 tanks, most of them dual coils, and I rewick them about once every 2 weeks. Not because the cotton is used up, but because I either changed flavors or the coil gunked up. It definitely breaks in faster too, and doesn't have that "new cotton" flavor like KGD. I've been telling everyone about it but most folks are stuck on the japanese stuff and don't want to try it.

I like CB, Only problem i've had was when I first started using it I didn't roll it enough and get all the loose fibers off. Ended up with a tiny chunk of cotton stuck to the roof of my mouth....lol

But I use KGD as well, and honestly, i don't taste any difference, both are easy to wick and both wick great in my Kanger mini RBA.

Often expectations make all the difference. Since I believe that all cotton pads offer the same quality, I will not buy cotton bacon, I am too sure it will be the same for me, but too much overpriced.

I'm with you...

Been using these 2$ organic cotton balls for over a year and they're basicly the same as any other more expensive "named brands".
Here in sweden these only cost about 2$ incl free shipping. :) (It's from an online pharmacy)

Edit: Also why would they name it cotton "bacon?" Makes no sense to me. ^^

Yeah, cotton bacon really shines in a tank. The difference in wicking is easily noticeable.
