Cotton Build questions

I have a Trident clone, an IGO-L, and a Steamboy Clone (Cracked with some Ecto Cooler juice) I have been using Silica for all my builds, and am having zero problems so far. IGO-L is at 1.3 Ohms and Trident is at .4 Ohms running on a dual coil. I would like to try cotton to hopefully soak up more juice and I have heard cotton is really good. (At least for some people)

I have cotton balls I bought the other day for really cheap and they burn off super quick when I try to build them. Do I need a special brand, or do I need to boil them. I am using them right out of the bag from the supermarket. Help?

Trident is my favorite rba so far, as I dont have a drill to make the hole in my IGO-L bigger at the moment. I also have a Helios and an IGO-W on the way, should be here very soon. Thanks!

Are you soaking the wicks with juice prior to firing? They'll burn right away if dry fired.

the lower ohm you go on those cotton wick the faster it will soak it all up........i use nano dragon coils on my trident at .4 ohm and i use cotton as the wick....i can get about 3 good pulls before i have to drip again......

Just 3 pulls? Seems I can get more with Silica maybe.

Do you boil the cotton?

And what gauge Kathal are you using? Does the cotton make the taste better?

i get way more vapor on cotton.......i use 28G for the most part....whether I'm doing a dragon coil or micro or just a regular 4/5 wrap i always have them around .5 ohm......thats really hot so its gonna vape the hell out of that juice on the cotton.......i don't mind though since the trident isn't my all day vape.......

i use sterile cotton.....

this is my micro coil build.....i could get 4-5 pulls of this if i wasn't hitting the hell out of it to get clouds.....LOL

cotton does have good flavor...I am loving it with my Trident, I am using dual micro coils and cotton

I boil my cotton just to sterilize it. I love using cotton. I have not gone back since. You never want to fire it dry make sure it's all soaked up. I get just as much use if not more from using cotton. You don't have to rebuild every time you want to change flavors just pull the cotton out, burn off the coils then put new cotton in.

Thank you guys! I am awaiting my IGO-W and Helios to do another dual coil build. I lost a screw on my trident. So I am just running it single coil for now. Thanks again for the tips
