Wait, you just took a piece of cotton and rolled another tiny wick and set it on top of your main wick, then reassembled the head correct?
Don't see how this could make flooding worse.
Too large of a wick and it will get choked by the head's slots or the coil, too small and it will flood constantly.
Also look closely at the head around the wicks and see if you see any obv open gaps or holes, and adjust the fw's and make wick accordingly.
Yes, this is what I did. I had experimented with making a flavor wick when I first learned to rebuild it a few days ago. It made the draw way too tight so I didn't try it again. However, I realized later that I was using entirely too much wick. I have since made my wick smaller. I problem I was having tonight was actually on a T3S
tank which is essentially the same as a ProTank as far as the coil is concerned. What's odd is that after I tried the flavor wick and it didn't help things, I took it back out and put it back together and now it seems to be fine. I'm finding that the wick size is very finicky. There seems to be very little margin of error concerning wick size.
I have my first rebuildable on the way and I'm sure everything will be much different with that. But, at this point I have already learned a lot and am ready to dive in when it gets here. I can't imagine myself buying
coils again now that I know how to build them.
