So I've gone through multiple mods (listed with builds at bottom of post), and lots of wire builds, yet it never fails. When a coil gets around it's first cleaning (hot watter and a brush) I start having to soak my coils inorder to have them fire without a temp protection warning.

I'm basically the only comon denomenator outside of the temp control system (although these are different chips) andI know cotton eventually stops going pure white, but it's strange that it never completely goes dry after a bit of coil build up.

Am I doing something wrong?

[mod list]
[mod | build | rda]
ipv3 li | pure ni200 claptons | El Cabron
cubex2 | pure ni200 claptons, ni200 nicr80 hybrid claptons | Mutation xv4
dna200 | ni200 nicr clapton hybrids, ti01 nicr clapton hybrids | Sapor

soak your coils in what? eliquid? when coils are used they do build a tiny layer of corrosion and gunk having you to up the temp slightly to compensate for the added insulation the build up is creating. that's what ive found. you never really get them back to clean clean, especially claptons, with all their nooks and crannies. just part of the game.

Don't know if this addresses your concern, but it's basically normal to see a temp protection message, especially if you're not drawing air across the coil/wick. By soaking the wick w/juice, you may not see the temp protection message unless you fire the coil for a longer time or at a higher temp setting. This is because the wet wick/coil is a heat sink.

That's what is happening.

the used coil as a layer of corrosion and that is the difference.
