Why would you want to degrade a superior wicking material (Rayon) by adding an inferior one (Cotton)?Has anyone tried a rayon and cotton blend in their wicks? It might be the best of both worlds; kind of like hybridizing sativa and indica!

Make your own agletted Rayon. I use Scotch tape. Makes it easier to get three full strands of Sally's Rayon under the mesh.Maybe if I could find Rayon that was Agletted? But I have Never seen any at a reasonable price.

Ewww! But, I have no choice. I burn right through cotton. Rayon has much better tolerance for carelessness.Seems like rayon requires a witches brew of chemicals in its production.
From Wikipedia:
Rayon is a synthetic fiber, made from natural sources of regenerated cellulose, such as wood and related agricultural products. It has the same molecular structure as cellulose. It is also called Viscose. Many types and grades of viscose fibers and films exist. Some imitate the feel and texture of natural fibers such as silk, wool, cotton, and linen. The types that resemble silk are often called artificial silk.
The fibre is used to make textiles for clothing and other purposes. Rayon production involves solubilizing cellulose to allow turning the fibers into required form. Three common ways to solubilize are the Cupro process, not in use today, using ammoniacal solutions of copper salts; the Viscose process, the most common today, using alkali and carbon sulfide; and the Lyocell process, using amine oxide. The last avoids the neurotoxic carbon sulfide of the viscose process but is also more expensive.
Back when I was still stocking up, I bought nearly a pallet of cotton bacon, so I'll be using that for the foreseeable future.
In the discussion above, I'm surprised no one has tried turkey bacon.
Someone always has to post the toxic process of Rayon manufacturing...Ewww! But, I have no choice. I burn right through cotton. Rayon has much better tolerance for carelessness.
Hi, everybody!
Then after cotton I'd say fiberglass insulation
gone
I do not know of this word, in a vaping sense. What does it mean?

Then substitute it for "vaporized". Get it now?

All of those chemicals are washed away in the final steps leaving nothing but pure cellulose fibers. On the other hand, Tencel/Lyocell manufacturing is more environmentally friendly, it is made with no toxic chemicals but costs more to produce.
