Hey Folks, I ordered some 0.5mm cotton wick from Nude Nicotine along with my 500ml of nic. The wick has a little break in period but I used 1 wick for 7 days before changing it and I believe it could have went longer, I use 24mg unflavored nic with a hint of sweetener though. Vaped smoothed and clean IMHO, I"ll be ordering more. 2mm inside dia. coil w/2" piece of wick folded in half then pulled through coil with a piece of wire folded. Any thoughts from anyone who has tried this and is it cotton seems durable?

I use cotton. Not wicking though. I like rayon better. It seems to last me longer. The cotton has great flavor. But I tend to burn it up and have to replace much sooner.
Only cotton I use anymore is Koh Gen Do (KGD). But I prefer Ready X Wick that lasts for many weeks to months for me.
During my brief stint with Kayfuns, Taifun GTs, and those type devices, I used Peaches 'n Cream cotton yarn. I'd make 2.4mm coils, and pull through a doubled piece of the yarn. Mrs. Rule still uses one of my old Taifuns, and I set it up like that for her.
For me, in my bf attys, and regular RDAs, pre- Reo, I use nothing but KGD cotton.

If I ever try the ready wick agan it would be the 3mm stuff. I could not get a long enough hit off the 2mm no matter how many times I tried it.
Oh and koh gen do for the win. Just too easy to work with those pads to make your perfect sized wick.

I thought ReadyX was OK, but prefer the flavor I get with cotton - never had much of a break-in I hear others describing, I love the first hit off a fresh wick.
I got Shiseido back when it was impossible to find KGD for a little while, and stopped looking. Dropped about $12 on what will likely be a lifetime supply...

KohGenDo is my current favorite over rayon and cotton. Just clean vaping...
Guess I'll chime in for the Koh Gen Doh also. I've tried them all over the years and even tho i change the wicks every couple of days cuz i use mostly heavy liquid, it only takes seconds to do so, and the one box will last me a lifetime and more, and the flavor of my juices is awesome.
Anyone use the Face Secrets cotton pads from Sally Beauty Supply? Just curious. I have ordered a lifetime supply KGD pads.

Following some help from Rule62 with coil building and wicking, I ordered P&C cotton yarn from the U.S and had great success with TaifunGT clones - reliable vaping until I found Reos and Shiseido - Thanks again, Rule.
FWIW I'm a long lung hitter, and with 3mm RxW easily get 3-4 long hits without squonking, and with great flavor (build specific).
Could not wait for KGD to come in the mail. Stopped at Sally Beauty supply and got Salon Care 100% pure cotton salon coils. 40 ft. $3.29 I think it was.
I like it better than the KGD pads I was using that I paid $5 for 3 or 4 pads at a B&M. No startup taste wicks much better than the KGD and easier to wick my litttle 1/16 Evod coils with. Does not say organic or anything but no flavor and I rewicked my Peach and Watermelon tanks last night, if it had a taste I would have tasted it with those 2 flavors.
I guess the wife unit will be using the KGD pads for makeup removal and such.
the pads I originally stopped in to check on at Sallys were quilted and a no go.

RxW is coming out with new Jumbo size. 3.5mm OD and 1/8" opening. Should hold a lot of juice for you direct ling hitters. Garden hose wick!!
