so im about 5 days in and im really enjoying my pv, and how few analogs ive smoked. but ive noticed a feeling in my lungs like im sick, and i keep coughing up phlem. is this a transitional thing, or what?

Was for me. Lungs go into self cleaning mode it seems - the cilia are no longer paralysed by the tar. Happened for about a week. Now - the morning cough is gone and feeling lighter in the upper respiratory tract.

Hi I read that v4l symtoms thread and it was a little scarry. I still
plan on trying this though as soon I get my order. From what I've read,
it seems that PG is responsible for a lot of the symptoms..... I ordered PG
and I hope that wasn't a mistake.

I've been smoking for many , many years so I know I'll have some withdrawal symptoms. I just hope they aren't too much to handle.

Good luck in your quest to quiting the analogs Rdytoquit. Cmichel6, I think the nasty coughing up of phlem like many have mentioned is a good sign that your lungs are actually cleaning themselves up from effects of analogs and good luck to you as well on your continuing journey of quiting the analogs.

Symptoms of switching to vaping can be so confusing to sort out that I think as a result PG has been blamed for a lot of stuff which it didn't actually cause. I'm not saying that it can't cause problems, just saying they're probably less than people often think. I suspect that far less people are allergic to it than the number who think they are. Also note that it is sometimes said to be a humectant, blamed for dry mouth, and a switch to VG suggested. However, we don't know whether a small amount of PG (2ml typically) inhaled over a day, actually absorbs any amount of water from the mouth which is of consequence. And people often don't mention that VG is also a humectant and probably a slightly more effective one.

Bottom line: Don't worry about PG unless it becomes clear to you that you have to worry about it. You probably won't.

I smoked 3 packs a day for 40 years and never experienced withdrawal symptoms. I vape 36 mg. at 5 ml a day. It takes a little stronger mg and a higher ml to keep me off of cigarettes but I've been vaping for 11 months now without any problems. I didn't understand it but I never coughed up anything. I completely quit coughing and my lungs are completely clear (which they never were while I smoked)

Thanks, Martha, Mister, and Hangin.

Martha, It would be great to have your experience switching but somehow, I doubt I will. I think what frightens me the most are the headaches people get. I've never had a headache...only sinus pressure sometimes. I can handle the muscle aches...I'm used to that from exercising. Hate to give away my age, but..... I'm used to nightsweats too.

thanks everyone!
im starting to realize that i actually might be sick, haha.
i was starting to think maybe the vapor was settling in my lungs and having some kind of pneumonia effect because im still trying to work out the particulars with my Green Smoke. its slowly losing its allure with each day that passes, but im so happy with the pv concept and how well its working for me that im just dealing with it until i have the money to get a new kit.
