I used, successfully if you consider that I didn't have a real cigarette, Vapor4Life products for about 3-4 months between late last year and early this year. I was using their standard Nobacco juices and batteries, plus a passthrough, without any issue whatsoever.

In February we had a relatively significant snow storm, some called it a blizzard, in our area and the USPS didn't deliver for about a week... so I ran out of juice and went, quickly, crawling back to analogs. A couple of weeks later, and off and on throughout the course of this past year, I have tried to restart using a PV, but every time I take a drag off of the thing it hits something funny and I immediately start coughing. Not deep drawn out coughs, but very shallow... so of course, I can't use it.

Is this something anyone has heard of or heard described before? Is there a list of things I can/should try to see if they resolve my problem with the vaporizer so I can get back off of analogs?

Its difficult to say. Vapor4Life sell only cartomizer models I believe (KR8's). I've experienced a shallow cough with some cartomizers as soon as I try to inhale and I suspect its due to the filler burning - they never seem to work well or taste right afterwards, and should be thrown out. Hope I am not stating the obvious but have you tried a brand new cartomizer, making sure it's well filled before you use it? There is a large thread here about the issue - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...us-510-kr808-4081-etc-filler-type-cartos.html

Other than that, I suppose it could be worth trying different juice, maybe a different flavour, maybe VG instead of PG based. Hope you solve the issue.

Papa L gives you the sensible options, above.

Maybe you could also try a very basic, no-flavor liquid at first and see if that gives you any problems. The flavorings have the most potential to cause minor issues of this sort, assuming you are not intolerant to either PG or VG, or the particular brand of VG / PG used as the base for your current liquid (which is always possible as there are differences).

If you find this satisfactory, it might be worth buying 100ml just to tide you over in case of delivery problems in your area. You can also make this sort of thing yourself without too much trouble if you don't mind DIY.

Starting with your current supplier, you may want to try the superior blank WOW or Premium CoolCart cartomizers and fill them with the better quality WOW Vapor e-liquid.

Also, V4L is not the only supplier of Kr8 cartomizers (or of e-liquid). For example, NHaler has a huge selection of various types of cartos and e-liquid. Other Kr8 suppliers are listed/linked in this article.

Papa and rolygate alluded to PG vs. VG. You may have developed an allergy to PG. [It appears that you didn't have one previously.] Definitely try some pure VG juice to see if this helps. Many suppliers carry it. Cignot happens to have a very large selection: BASIC (their own line), ECOpure (Intellicig's), and Other VG (Boge) are all VG-based.
