over the years smoking i always coughed up some nasty black .... from my lungs but was wondering if people that have been vape'n for a while are still coughing it up?
If you just switched to vaping from cigarettes recently, this is happening because you quit smoking not because you are now vaping. Took 3-4 weeks before my cough went away.

i havent completely made the transition yet, and still smoking cigarettes to atm, am trying to stop but with the stupid australian laws, i can only import the ejuice, i bought some from local markets but it taste terrible, so the next step will be to find a good supplier from overseas that has nice tasting ejuice, and doesnt take 2 months to get to australia

Funny thing, I was just thinking about this today.

I was a smoker for 15 years and for the last 2 years I would cough up these brownish mucus balls every morning. I have been vaping for about 2 weeks, and haven't smoked an analog in over a week. I have noticed I haven't coughed up anything in the last 2 days. I still cough a little in the morning, but nothing comes up. I'm guessing the mucus was caused by the cigarettes.

Hopefully in a few weeks you will stop coughing up black stuff, but if it doesnt go away I would see your Doc.

It will take about a month to clear your lungs out. The cough will subside and normal breathing returns. Your lungs will get better but they will always be tainted. I had a something like a sonogram for my chest. They asked if I was a smoker and said yes. They told they could tell by the exam. They said most people lie and they can tell just by looking. lol Good luck with quitting.

There are a couple of forums here on health and stopping smoking and vaping. Go check them out. I read quite a bit of the info there. There is a lot of good info and some of the symptoms you may experience when you stop smoking. Good luck. There is a whole newcomers section that is must reading and will answer lots of questions.
