Coughing when I inhale joy ego

usually those prefilled carts can be pretty crappy. is it your first PV? Be sure you blew the primer out of your atty, if so. Might be a good idea to get yourself some good juices. I won't bombard you with questions or suggestions.. but I do wish you good luck! I love my eGo!
Smoke from cigarettes is chemically treated to stop the coughing and feel 'smooth' - to test this out smoke a cigarette then later stand near a bonfire and inhale the smoke. You will immediately notice the difference (once you stop spluttering).
What you are inhaling now is vapor - not smoke - and anything you inhale is going toirritate your lungs unless its been treated not to. You are also possible vaping the same way you smoke and you simply have to learn a new way - its really not hard though.

Others things to note: PG can feel a bit rough - thats why most of us prefer the PG/VG mixes (or jsut VG if PG is too much of an allergen as it is to some) and the higher nic content the rougher it can feel. For some this is good - the TH is what they want. For others its too much.
Experiment a little - try dropping your nic level slightly, try a PG/VG mix juice (most prefilled carts are PG only) and see how you get on

Yep, best to get a mouth hit first, then inhale. I have been vaping almost a month and the last week or so I can't inhale into my lungs without a coughy fit. I can a little if I have a Hall's mentho-lyptus in my mouth, but otherwise, it's strictly in the mouth and exhale. I have been using 100% PG e-juice and that may be the reason for no lung draw, so today I've started using a 50/50 mix. It's a little easier, now. I mostly vape 24mg nic juice.
So, don't get discouraged just yet. Order a few e-juice flavors with different PG/VG mix and see if that helps.

You didn't mention whether or not the eGo is your first PV.
The first few drags I took off my first PV made me cough too. It isn't smoke, the sensation is not the same. It didn't take me very long at all to get accustomed to the vape.

I had some of the same thing going on at first, but it faded out. My suspicion is that my lungs were a little inflamed from so many years of inhaling smoke and that sudded hit of nicotine caused some irritation. I stopped it at that time by taking milder hits on the eGo and going a little slower. Still, I can nearly choke myself with a super slow puff on a fresh drop of menthol dripped on the atty.

You might like to take it slow and find some mellower juices. Menthol seems to hit me harder and watermelon is just so smooth, for example.

Okay you are all too funny!! Don't quit your day jobs ummmkayy...This is my first pv. I put one drop of nuport into my prefilled mlb hig because that is what I smoke..Whoa nasty stuff cough gag cough some more...Eww. So I took out another prefilled mlb hig and put some carmel,coffee and chocolate. Took deeper vapes but let alot out before inhaling and YUMM!! Thanks for the great advice..Like everyone keeps saying you will learn and find what works for you.
New question while I am here..I bought the cartimizers for the ego and wonder what you use to fill them? I don't have syringes and am pretty sure you can't buy them at Walmart. What do you all use to fill them???

I don't have the exact link for the carto filling video I used that was great, but you can search for them on youtube, there should be a bunch on there. You ordered an eGo AND cartos on your first order, plus juice? Well done! You must have been reading some good info!

I had someone coaching me with what to buy, so I was lucky, and he also referred me to this site.. I've seen SOOO many people who come on here and bought some crap PV for ten times what it's worth, I only wish they'd known to shop around!

Please take care of yourself. I can relate to the coughing and especially the bronchitis. I have chronic bronchitis from smoking analogs and that is one reason I want to start vaping. I know I'll still be inhaling, but a lot less carcinogins (spelling?). I have smoked myself into pnuemonia 3 times. Yeah I need to find a better way....
