If you find you don't care for higher pg another option is adding distilled water to thin the vg. If you have two tanks might try thinning the juice in one tank with pg and dw in the other tank. Of course you'll experience a drop in flavor but a good cheap way to experiment before investing in a bunch of juice that may not suit you.

    Hi and welcome.

Some good answers already. I find high VG mixes cause me to cough and wheeze a bit whereas 50/50 PG/VG is just fine.

Again when I used to make my own E Liquid I added 10% distilled water to the VG before mixing to turn it into Aqueous VG - some say this is too high a percentage but it worked fine for me.

    Aqueous VG

Aww. That name brings back sweet memories of Decadent Vapours and @Nick O'Teen, the founder of the company, who used to be a member of ECF in the old days.

My first attempts at DIY were made with his bases and flavorings.

Hi guys thank you for all your replys. Yes the VG does make me cough a lot more. I have tried a 70pg still the same. You name it I have tried it. Are nic salts any different. I like to get a throat hit. I'm vaping at 6mg from 12 right now. The strength is fine. Is it different flavours that can cause the wheezing, as I vape all different ones and not stick to same flavour.
    Thanks guys

It may be flavorings, it may also be your device, your atomizer, your coil, your wattage. Trial and error. Sorry. Have you tried vaping unflavored? Lower your wattage? Are you a mouth-to-lung or direct-lung vaper? Too much vapor can be irritating.

Salts are smoother, but if you want your TH, they are not for you. I'd first try to identify the culprit of your coughing.

    Hi I'm new to this.
I have for the last few months been chesty and wheezing off my liquid. I decided to try higher VG. That was worse. I then had a chest x-ray and all clear. Does anyone know what the reason could be why I'm affected. Thanks

I have to ask,how long since you made the change from cigarettes to vaping?

When you stop smoking coughing does happen,i found this which might explain your coughing if you recently switched to vaping:

    Smoking Cessation-Related Coughing

When you stop smoking, cilia gradually start functioning again and the lungs begin the work of moving trapped toxins up and out.
This might cause a cough that could last for the first couple of months of smoking cessation until cilia have fully recovered.

But if it's more than a couple of months then i think the content of the text in red wouldn't apply.
Would have to be more of a pg/vg situation, haven't gone thru that so i can't really offer any help on that subject.

    Good luck :)

Hi guys I use mouth to lung. Been vaping for over 8 years and this is only a recent thing over past few months. Tried all different liquids, coils, tanks etc. I seem to cough more if there is a variable air holes in. The more air I hear when i take a pull seems to irritate more. But like I said still happening with all different coils/ tanks etc. I do seem to be better on the innoken prism tank.

Hi I have not tried unflavoured. When you say unflavoured is it fully no flavour ????
