Couging Question.

Hi All,
Not sure if this is where I should post this question, but here goes and if it's in the wrong thread/forum, I apologise.

I've been off the roll-ups and vaping for 3 months now, feel great, breathing, smell and taste are all clearer but one thing puzzles me....I anticipated a spell of coughing up gunk...approx 28 years of tar (you know what I mean).....but nothing!

Has anyone any logical answer, or any answer or ideas?
Any opinion appreciated.

As far as i know some people get it at various times, some 2 weeks, some 6 months later, some not at all.

When and if you do get it do loads of exercise, makes it come up quicker, that's what my Doctor told me.

Invisible cleaning? Tiny elves that cleaned it for you?

Some get the cough, some don't. I did, but it only lasted about a week (with another week of occasional small coughs). My cousin, a lighter smoker than I was, hacked for three weeks. My mother didn't cough at all, ever.

In any case, all of our lungs are cleaner. Mom and I can certainly feel the difference, so the cleanout happened, it just wasn't explosive.

Same with me,after 38 years of smoking i was expecting to be barfing all sorts up.Nothing,just a bad cold which did not want to go away,i had that for 7 weeks ! that was probably all the crap coming out,but just in a different way.

I cheated myself and so far have not got any illness yet, i took 4 weeks worth of antibiotics before going onto Vaping

Around 4-5 mths after "full time smoking" (I still have approx 1-2 a mth) I was barking like a dog. Nothing up til then and it was a full on assult. It lasted for around 5-6 weeks.
Doc gave me some anti-b's, didn't seem to do much. But approx 2 weeks later was feeling great.

I'm 70 days into full-time vaping (bar one hiccup!) and I've had nothing too! It's almost disappointing isn't it?! I wanted to see that gunk! I wanna see the nastiness and know I'm getting all the better without it! (I'm also the type of girl who gets excited by flossing btw!)x

When I quit smoking previously using nico-gum, lots of stuff came up for about 2-3 weeks.

Vaping ... also nothing.

Must have something to do with the continued inhalation of nicotine and whatever buildup in the lungs probably dissipating more gradually.
