A few people asked to try my machine and they were all smokers, they always cough and cant catch their breath with the first puff, even with small puffs,liKe its a shock to their lungs.Im thinking the reason is because there is so much tar and toxins built up in their lungs and the vap is expelling and cleaning out the gunk in their lungs, any thoughts on this mystery.:?:

Ecigs hit harder than cigarettes and often people aren't expecting that so they take a big pull. Whenever I let someone try my Twist I turn down the voltage and warn them it kicks like a mule. They are always shocked that this vapor has throat hit, as was I when I first tried vaping. One thing I never fail to notice when I have an occasional cig is how weak they seem.

It has nothing to do with expelling tar from the lungs. Ecigs do hit harder. I tell people to smoke it like a pipe, or like drinking a drink through a straw. Inhale into the mouth, then take it into your lungs. This reduces the throat hit, it's the only way I can smoke or vape now, even when I do smoke the rare stinky.

This subject intrigues me. Every smoking person who has tried my eCigs hasn't had this problem.

There is only one person I've experienced who couldn't seem to stop coughing every time she attempted vaping. She had severe COPD and later was diagnosed with advanced end stage Lung Cancer. As badly as she wanted to vape, she couldn't. Her Son spent hundreds on hardware she couldn't use... but she still smokes.

However!.... My Mother has severe COPD (is on Oxygen 24/7) and can vape with no issues whatsoever, so this has me somewhat stymied.

Could it be 'sensitivities' or a type of allergic reaction to PG or VG?

Prior to vaping I hadn't smoked for 3 years. I took a puff off of a traditional cigarette and couldn't catch my breath for what seemed like several minutes. It was scary. Vaped out of the gate with no problems whatsoever, and I vape 24mg Nicotine strengths and require tremendous throat hit.

I really wish I could understand 'why' some people just can't seem to 'tolerate' vaping

Do you know how many watts you are vaping at? My first ecig was a 3.7 volt kr8 with about a 3.2ohm or higher carto. The th and vapor production was a lot less and closer to a cigarette. Also, the people who try mine usually only cough of the first drag and then realize they don't need to hit it so hard. Seems like smokers often treat it like a (illegal substance) and pull directly into their lungs, which would make even me cough. Then they realize to pull into the mouth first like a cigarette.

It could also be psychological, the machines look like big weapons and they me intimidated. The mind is a powerful organ.:2cool:
