Could it be my attys?

 Ok I have had my 510 for a week yesterday. I totally love it but the last couple of days I'm not getting any flavor. I thought maybe it was just the juices I was using because I used up a bottle of RY4 and had plenty of flavor. After that bottle ran out I used a different flavor and it has no taste. Tried a different flavor of the same brand, same problem. I cleaned my attys last night in case that was the prob and tried both attys today with other flavors I sampled and could taste before and I still can't taste them. The attys are heating up still and I'm getting vapor, just no taste. Could it just be my attys are no more good? I don't know what else it could be. :(

The 510 is not known as the best PV for flavor. Some flavors come through just fine with the 510 and others not so much. It's the nature of the beast.

Have you quit analogs ?? Part of the change could be due to changes with your tase buds.

But no, it's not the atomizer ... Sounds like they are working fine.

Yeah I actually haven't had an analog since I got my kit. It's just wierd because I tasted the Ecopure menthol liquid when I first got it and now I can't taste it all. Same with the English Toffee I have. Are my tastebuds working in reverse? I always knew I was ***backwards lol.

This is the reason that I do not like the 510's. You have to use a strong flavor to taste it. RY4 is a strong flavor. You did not mention what flavor you changed too.

I've tried menthol, english toffee, and cappuccino since i ran outta ry4. nothing. I tried the cappuccino on my boyfriend's 510 last night and I could taste that one just fine on his. That's why I thought maybe my attys were crapping out on me.

I find that when liquid begins to accumulate on the atomizer's coil the flavor starts to disappear. If it goes too far, I can barely taste anything at all.

When this happens, doing a 'dry burn' on the atty often remedies the situation. Blow out your atomizer very well until it's totally dry, connect it to your PV (a 3.7 volt is battery is the safest option here), and then hold down the button for 3-5 seconds while the coil is bright red. Do this 2-3 times. This will help to burn off some of the gunked up liquid. Once you're done, I recommend rinsing it (or soaking it) in either pure grain alcohol or high-proof vodka to remove the burnt taste. Then let it dry for a few hours.

This will often bring the flavor back to an otherwise tasteless atomizer. Give it a spin. ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to go and get some liquor and try that out. :D

that's the same Toffee I have. it came from cignot.com with the 510s I ordered. Actually I didn't ask for it, I think the ladies at cignot just threw it in for me. How nice.

Weird taste on your end tho. Hummmm, I've only been at this for less than 2 weeks, so I am not the encyclopaedia that others here seem to be but....

When I cleaned my Attys, it did take a little bit before the flavor returned. It may be overly dry atty and and juice has to flow into it again.

I've only been using the toffee with this atty for the past 3 days. Maybe a flavor has to build up a bit? I don't think that's it tho.

You say you're getting vapor, so it's not a dry cart or dying battery. But make sure your cart is full tho.

What else....you know what, ask someone else if they can smell the toffee. I found out last night that my buddy John could smell the toffee from my e-cig. I didn't think that was so, but yes your "smoke" or vapor does have an odor. It just doesn't stay very long. So if you ask someone else if they smell toffee or something, and if they don't then maybe your atty isn't working properly.

By the way the vapor from my e cig post cleaning the atty was gross. And when my cart goes dry it's gross too.

Oh! Here is one more thing, I do believe it is possible for some of the juices to separate their ingredients while sitting around. Maybe, just maybe, your juice separated the flavor from the PG or VG? And you vaped all your flavor and what is left in the bottle is very little flavor and mostly PG/VG? I always shake my bottles before refilling a cart.

One place I order juice from (in no way affiliated) is Mr Ts Bakery mstsbakery[dot]com
Very flavorful, but she only really does tasty treat flavors. I like the yum flavors. Who knew?

I'll keep thinking, and give it some time. Eventually I believe you will start getting the results you want, not just settling for a lame substitute. I myself will really never have a prob with going back to traditional cigs as long as I have a working e-cig. There is no sacrifice for me, this is honestly my preferred choice of the two. Again, who knew?

Good luck Green Eyes!

yep my toffee came from cignot too. so did my menthol and i swear both of them had distinct flavors when i first tried them and now i can't taste them. ah well, i think maybe i'm just on the brink of getting a cold. a friend came by earlier who had never vaped before and i asked her to try it out and tell me what she tasted and she said she could smell and taste the toffee so maybe my buds are just messed up due to oncoming cold.

we just placed an order with ms t last night. ordered 2 of the 3 pack samplers. i can't wait to try them out. i have heard nothing but good things about her juice. i also prefer the sweet vapes. i thought i would wanna vape menthol being a menthol smoker but found i couldn't stop vaping my ry4 because i loved the creamy candy taste. we've got some chocolate coconut bar, banana fosters coffee, and some pecan pie coming from ms t. hurry up mail! lol

Have you tried cleaning the male/female connectors between the battery and atomizer?

haven't tried that yet ringo. still a noob to this lol. i tried cleaning my attys last night using the method in ms t's video. just soaked them in some hot water for about 20 mins, blew them out, and left them overnight to dry. what would i clean the connectors with?

Anything end up working for you?

I cleaned the connectors like you said and got a good bit of gunk off them but still having the same problem. I'm going to go buy a small bottle of strong vodka and try cleaning them that way I guess. I have some more juice coming from nhaler and ms. ts and an extra atty so when that gets here i'll see for sure if it's either the juice or the atty. I'm wondering if the other persons theory about the juice settling and getting mainly the pg at the bottom of the bottle could be it because i'll admit i didn't shake them up until i read that.

I just don't get it because the attys get hot and i'm still getting vapor, but a chemical like taste would sum up what i'm getting out of them, with an occasional throat hit.
