So I bought some flavoring the other day and want to try my hand at some basic DIY. I typically vape between 18-24mg, so what I did was picked up 24mg unflavored and figured I'd dilute it with flavoring and still be in my vape range. Anyhow, I typically only like mint or fruity flavors but would like to maybe mix some stuff together and see what I come out with. I do like things to be a little on the stronger side.

Here are the flavors I have:

Flavourart:
Menthol, Peppermint, Black Cherry, Concord Grape, Spearmint, Aroma Strawberry

TPA:
French vanilla, caramel, pear, peppermint

I also have some sweetener from Mrs T

What do you think I should mix together and what %'s.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am new to mixing as well here is what I learnt so far...

First use eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator this calculator

Why = its more accurate then the rest and it provides you with more options, this will become clearer later on

what strength nicotine do you vape at ? you say 18 - 24mg, lets use 24mg for my example

In order to produce 24mg strength juice you need to purchase a higher base nicotine level, at least 48mg but 50 and 52mg would work also

Why = because by the time you add the VG and flavouring it dilutes your original 24mg PG or VG based nicotine juice...

%'s this is where the above calculator lets you come in your own

The ready made juice you currently purchase is it 50% PG and VG% or different? please let me know

The quantitys, well remember always when making juice, make sure you use ML as your measurements and not drops

Also, when testing you can always try and make 3ml tester batch sizes first you dont have to try 10ml from the outset.

Let me know if you are following? install the software , answer my above questions then I will try and help further..

thanks

I have the ejuice app on my iPhone but I could always get the windows calc. Sweetener at 3%? It says to use 1 drop per 6ml. Isn't 3% kind of high?

Ehy not try the french vanilla and some caramel and sweetener and make a caramel french vanilla. This is what I would use to start

French Vanilla 2%
caramel 2%
sweetner 3%

TPA is strong stuff. Try it and adjust to taste/ Do you have the juice it up calculator?

I use TPA sweetener. Iam not sure if Ms T's is stronger. I used 3% and wound up with perfect results, of course I have a sweet tooth also. The French Vanilla is a little strong so the sweetner calms that. You can try it at 1 or 2% and adjust according to your taste.

3% on 10ml is 3 drops, so its not that far off

Answers in red. I'm ok with using the base liquid at 24mg for now, as diluting it would still be a good range for me.
Hi,

I am new to mixing as well here is what I learnt so far...

First use eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator this calculator I'll install this now. Was going to use the iPhone calc app I had.

Why = its more accurate then the rest and it provides you with more options, this will become clearer later on

%'s this is where the above calculator lets you come in your own I typically vape about 18-24mg. That's why I bought 24mg to start. Even at lets say 24mg, a 20% flavor mix would put me around 19mg which is fine with me. I just wanted 1 less variable in my first sets of mixes.

The ready made juice you currently purchase is it 50% PG and VG% or different? please let me know The premix is 75%pg / 25%vg. I typically vape ~80% but I'm not pick if it goes higher than that.

Also, when testing you can always try and make 3ml tester batch sizes first you dont have to try 10ml from the outset.

forget the sweetner at the moment because at this rate anything you make will not be at your target strength so you will not feel or taste it:
In order to produce 24mg strength juice you need to purchase a higher base nicotine level, at least 48mg but 50 and 52mg would work also

Why = because by the time you add the VG and flavouring it dilutes your original 24mg PG or VG based nicotine juice...

not sure if this is totally right but try this out:

mix the following, this will create 3ml of 1 flavoured ejuice at 24mg I believe:

2.7ml nicotine
0.3ml flavouring

here is why, if you install the calculator I recommend perhaps you can follow:

a working example for you to follow

if you want to mix a combo a flavours then try and keep the total percentages of flavouring to no more than 10%

remember some flavours are stronger then others so use less of the dominant flavour and more of the other

are you with me so far?

Id recommend using a small batch to produce to begin with until u nail the mixing ratios etc

thanks for all the help. I am doing a very rough estimate since I am traveling right now and don't have the greatest tools for measurement. So for now my measurements are all in drops. I'm using identical pipettes.

For starters I did:
60 drops of pg mix
1 drop french vanilla
1 drop caramel
1 drop sweetener.

Still have plenty of space in the 3ml bottle so can add more of anything if needed. Let's see how it goes.

is it to late to change it to:

54 drops of pg mix
2 drop french vanilla
2 drop caramel
1 drop sweetener.

if its too late add 1 more drop of french vanilla and 1 more of caramel

also when possible try and get a couple of 5ml syringe's with needles it will allow you to be more accurate then counting drops

good luck, let us know how you get on :)
