Hi ECF,
I've been vaping and lurking your fine forums for about a month now, and while I've learned a lot from your many helpful threads, I could use some more specific advice.
My background:
After some diligent research I chose the manual Joye 510 as my first vape, with 100% PG tobacco liquid from American eliquid (I've since ordered from HHV).
Before vaping, I was a pack-a-day smoker, Camel Blues. I'm now down to 3-4 cigarettes per day- very happy! But I'm finding it difficult to kick the analogues entirely with my current setup. I'm on the move a lot, and I often don't have time to drip- I also find this a little tedious in general - I guess I'm a bit impatient
. I'm also not 100% satisfied with my vapor production/throat hit unless I literally JUST dripped, which makes the convenience factor even more of an issue.
So I tried to remedy the situation by researching a mod, and wound up with a Vamo with a Vivi Nova clearomizer. But when I got it in the mail, I was shocked at how big and heavy it was. While I'm sure it would have been great, I simply am not comfortable carrying that thing around. I live in NYC, and can't imagine the kind of looks I would have gotten. This might seem a bit shallow, but I want to eliminate any temptation to just smoke an analog- maybe you know what I mean. So I returned it.
So I'm at a bit of a crossroads here and could use some help. Here are the options I can think of:
1. Keep the 510 and try getting foam for my carts and see if that reduces my need to drip enough to make it convenient for me (I'm highly dubious it would make enough of a difference).
2. Keep the 510 and try using cartos or tanks instead (would the tank be compatible with a regular old 510?)
3. My most tempting option however: Upgrading to a penstyle with equal or greater vapor + throat hit than my 510. One that has a tank, clearomizer or carto that works effectively with minimal maintenance throughout the day, eliminating the very frequent need to drip. I realize everyone's tastes are different, but having a few suggestions in this department would be SUPER helpful. And if there's a particular vendor you'd recommend, that's of course a welcome suggestion as well.
TL;DR: Read item 3.
Thanks so much, guys and gals. Happy Vaping!
