Hey everyone....

Been a while since I logged in but I have been lurking.... I am in need of assistance in the fight tomorrow. What type of documents or studies can/should i bring to the public meeting? I have been passing out flyers since I first heard about this. They may not talk about it tomorrow but I want to be prepared. Hopefully there will be quite a large number supporting electronic cigarettes....

Thanks for your help and please wish us luck.

Did you look here? => CASAA Printable Material

Thanks, did not see that....

perhaps if you find out why are they trying to ban them you can have a more clear plan to research the countermeasures

From what I know, they want to ban them in all public places. That is what I have been told by the commissioners office. There is one commissioner who is on our side and sees nothing wrong with it.

I will also contact CASAA and ask for their help. Like I said I have been passing out flyers with information to all my customers.

If you can let CASAA know, they can put A Call To Action out.
The more people you have show up, the better chance there is to fight this.
The places that don't get bans passed, are the ones where people actually show up at these council meetings and show that we won't just roll over and give up.

Good luck!

Prohibit them in areas where smoking is prohibited? Nothing you can do. That will eventually happen just about everywhere.

With more vapers like you, probably so. Fortunately many of us have joined CASAA, write letters, send emails, educate non-smokers as well as smokers and work to get the truth out about vaping. We also don't act like vaping and smoking are the same thing.

To the OP, as others have recommended, let CASAA know and maybe you can get some additional help from other local vapers. Good luck and we all appreciate your efforts.

I suggest writing letters to the editor, use social media, and get your story out; the why you have chosen to vape and what its done for you. Get your friends and family involved ask them for support. I would not talk about how much vaping can save you as some in government think its their money ie their tax budget. Printout all the CASAA materials you can and then read and highlight the key facts but, understand they probably don't know any facts and are going from their feelings slanted by decades of ANTZ BS. Best wishes and good luck but never give up! Fight for your rights!

Did you hear what Shawnee OK did? They waited until a vape meet was going on, and had a city council meeting to ban vaping in the city...while the vapers were otherwise engaged at said vape meet. No one knew about it, and it went uncontested. That's some underhanded s*** right there.

Good luck in the fight!

Some simple facts to point out:

No combustion and thus no smoke
No ash and no butts
No arsenic, cyanide, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, etc.

How many commisioners are there?

Sorry for the late reply everyone.... Went this morning to the public meeting.... Took about a hour to come to the discussion about the smoke/vapor ordinance. In total 3 people spoke. A woman who did a fabulous job and had a prepared speech, an old man who said that instead of banning these they should ban flatulence :D, and myself who sucks at making speeches. Overall, they voted 3 to 2 for not passing it. 1 reason is because all the flyers i passed out the past month or so and the people kept calling the commissioners....

So far we won this battle....
