OK, does anybody else think that vapor bothers there eyes sometimes? Not all of time, but sometimes. Like when you take a hit, but just letting it linger a little close to your face and not completely blowing the vapor away? I have been vaping 70/30 pg/vg blends. I am thinking it is kinda from the PG, but am aint no scientist..I am a skeptic and just curious and like to learn. Heck it might be from the flavorings who knows?

another question I have. Does coughing normally come more from PG or VG? This might vary to alot of your, everybody's body reacts differently. I am staying on quite a low nicotine, mostly 12 mg for the most part, but I chain vape quite a bit...an I know I am overvaping, but you can't tell me nothing...ya know? I love my vape... But in the mornings mainly when I getup or just in general after vaping alot, i always cough quite a bit..

I am just conducting an opinion "type" post, please don't bash me, this actually might help more people that just me, if they are wondering the same things.

Thanks! :toast:

I haven't had problems with my eyes, except for the fact there's never enough light and they keep making the parts smaller! The only ill effects I've noticed is that if I go much above 60/40 the PG starts to bother me with nose cracking. I tend to chain vape myself at 18 to 24 mg.

Some coughing sometimes but not even close to what it was, especially at night when I laid down in bed. I do blow my nose more and attribute that to vaping. Still it sooo much better than smoking!

I have give thought to trying 90 or higher VG and see what difference that makes. I do a little DIY but can bring myself to do it.

Not near as bad as when the old Cig smoke wafted up into my eyes! Then I would tear up big time! lol..... I find that I get a dry cough sometimes when I don't drink enough water during the day. Drinking water actually helped with my nose drying out as well. Drink lots of water every day and see if that helps with your symptoms.

Hey there! I haven't noticed any issues or effects on my eyes since I started vaping. I haven't really had any coughing issues either besides when I got a harsh hit. The only issues I've ever really had beyond some general ones from switching over was that I started breaking out. I started out vaping 70/30 pg/vg & eventually changed my juices over to higher vg or max vg where possible after I made the connection & ruled out other possibilities & I did see a noticeable difference.

How long have you been vaping? Do you mouth inhale or inhale straight into the lungs? I have a theory that the humectant properties may dry our tissue that is sensitive from the irritation of smoking. That, and the antibacterial properties could also cause an itch or tickle that could make you cough - also due to the lingering irritation to tissue from smoking. A theory! Don't mistake my confidence for certainty. :)

I have been vaping mostly a higher PG blend and its ruff sometimes at 70/30. So since ive had a cold I put some of my 100% VG in my tank. Although its 18mg, which dont make things any better because when I was vaping my high PG blend, it was prolbably too much PG for me and now since Ive switched to all VG I kind of like it but to much nic. I am around 12 MG type of person and sometimes get by on 6..

*would like to go 0 in the future, if I stick with vaping... and I am trying hard, although its hard sometimes because I chain vape too much and feel like crap. Can't help it though..

I normally drink 100 ounces or more a day of water alone pllus soft drinks and tea...lol I drink alot of liquid. Its not the hydration, because I am drinking as much as I am vaping pretty much. But thank you for your advice.

I have not had any breakouts from the PG, it don't seem to bother me much. I having been vaping 70/30 pg blends..I get a little itchy now and then, but nothing bad enough to turn into a breakout... But yes, I have been experimenting like crazy with my VG and PG based juices and I am trying to find something I can sleep on for a while. Thanks for the help!. :)

Some people report the same thing from the theatrical fog machines. This could be due to a reaction to the PG, try reducing the PG or even go to a VG+Water mix and see if that helps.

I am honestly thinking you are right..Because I can blow massive clouds of VG and no eye issues for the most part..but with certain PG juices, it almost feels like this weird scratches feeling on my eyes..its not comforting and it makes me back away.. LIke I said it could all be in my head, but most likely I am thinking it is the PG honestly. I am no doctor though, just a daily vapor. :) my opinions of course. :)

Nicotine is an irritant and pg is a slight irritant, so if you get the vapor in your eyes, I can see it bothering them.

I coughed when I was starting vaping (not from quitting smoking, it was from the vaping) but I think I just had to get used to it, it went away in about a month.

thanks! :)

Been vaping about a month and a half to 2 months total. I just quit cigs 3 days ago for good. I don't even have 1 a day no more when I need it.. i can't hardly smoke a cig because I vape so much plus its just not that enjoyable no more. I just got a cold last night and today it has been so bad. Its definately a sinus cold because I have literally went thorough a half box of tissues in one day... it sucks.. But anyways, I have been coughing so hard after vaping while I have had this cold, but I hate going all day not vaping just because I am sick. When I use to smoke cigs, I would smoke even when I was sick as well..."just because I am hard headed". I don't know if its the nicotine content making me cough or the PG, becaue I have 70/30 pg vg blends I have been vaping alllott lately, and i cough quite a bit. I have 100% VG in my tank right now since I have been sick.. I kind of like it, but my nic level on this VG blend is 18, and 18 is too high for me. I like 12 or lower for the most part. I have tried all the various tactics about inhaling with a basic mouth to lung and straight lung inhaling: it just don't really make a difference. Its got to be the vapor period i think, once I vape too much I start coughing every time regardless of the technique. I dunno.. Its rough sometimes..lol...best way I can explain my vaping experience. Could obviously be alot of things going on, but I aint no scientist or doctor and its hard to nail all symptoms on the head especially when you are sick at the time as well... so yeah.
