not that anyone cares, but I made a new coil and it still wasn't tasting right. Pulled my wick off the bottom of the tank and now it seems like its getting better. I'm not sure if its because its not touching the bottom, or if its the added wick above the coil.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions/hints

If you haven't tried it yet, roll a solid unoxidized wick, cut the tank part of it at an angle, drillbit the coil, and slide the wick into it and pulse your mod until the coil glows evenly.
After I started doing this, I have a working genesis up and running in very few minutes with almost 100% success every time. Also using Kanthal 28 makes it easier.

thanks man. yeah i'm using the drill bit method, but had juice in the tank to i wasn't able to pulse and see it light up.
anyway i'm gonna trash that coil and try again. I'm gonna use some twisted 32 as i don't have anything bigger.

So frustrating.

Is it really worth it?

Twisted 32 should do great. Juice in the tank when setting up is a huge NO. :)
