I tried searching this, but the only thing I found was someone that drilled a hole too big. I've read things about a draw being too tight, but what about too airy? I can't seem to get a good draw with the iclear 16d tanks I have. If I cover 2 of the holes as I draw it's much better. Will this cause a problem?

No, it won't cause a problem. I do it often for a tighter draw.

Too much air flow can impede juice feeding in most atomizers since the vacuum created by the draw pulls the juice from the tank into the wick. That's not a problem with drippers where you put the juice in yourself and and then vape. In a tank, less is more as long as the flavor holds up.

PG can get by with more air flow. VG may need tighter draw to keep the wick saturated.

It's all personal preference, which tend to change as ones vape evolves, just do what works best for you, that's what we all end up doing, when it comes to ones vape.

Only thing to be aware of, is if you over draw, like plug the holes so much you have to suck, it will likely suck to much juice into the coil build, and flood it. And then will really taste your juice. :D

I cover a hole on each of my protank 2 minis, otherwise it'd be way too airy a draw.I use the wife's clear nail polish to plug them up,it stays in place really well when cleaning the tanks out in hot water.
There's no funny taste from that? I was thinking of doing the same thing but got some jb weld. I read on that one post about it heating up and then you're inhaling fumes from whatever you covered it with. ?

I have a genesis tank that has two air flow holes (one on each side of the top cap) I found it to be way to airy so I used a small piece of scotch tape over one of the holes. Invisible and now the draw is perfect!

Covering holes is not a problem! DO IT!!!

I actually put a piece of tape over one of the holes yesterday to see if it helped. Think it needs 2 of the 3 covered tho.

covering air holes?? what is this you speak of!! open those babies wide open...
I want to hear it whistle!! *lol*

but I suppose it's too much with some young lungs that haven't been scarred up by ciggie smoking for 30+ years (my daughter covers mine up a bit when she does that "can I taste your juice?!")

I like the air control flow valves the Kangers have, if it's too much, you turn it and cover the hole up a bit...

It is a personal thing, there is nothing wrong with covering an air hole or two if you find you need that.

The only thing you need to be aware of, if you do restrict the air flow, is that you might be causing the coil to gunk/burn up faster, since you sucking air over the coil, is part of the cooling mechanism. This only becomes an issue if you start to chain vape.

Another thing that I've done when using my Protank with 100%VG is screwing a small machine screw in (you can get them at any hardware or dollar store) and then using it as airflow control by either screwing it further in or backing it off. Screws for glasses and watches work the best (if you have a broken watch or glasses available). This way if you need to adjust the airflow in a pinch you just back off or screw in the screw! Another option is to just order the airflow replacement base for $3 which gives you 100% control and works awesome!

Thanks everyone. I was so excited to have bigger tanks so i wasn't having to refill constantly but wasn't happy with the draw. Huge disappointment! So, I'm in business again.

Tanks?? Big Tanks???? Did someone mention big tanks that take on lots of juice?? I'll show you mine, if you show me yours.!!!:D:lol:

Okay, ya caught me, the little ones are actually just big azz drippers, but hold more juice than a clearo, so it's tank-ish, kinda sorta.:D But definitely Big, still batten 500.

and while not necessarily huge big like the Buddha's this does hold a whopping 10 ml's of juice, the same as the Buddha's

While those last two are much smaller in stature, and hold only 5 ml's of juice apiece, they Are HUGHE in Vape. these are the best of the very best of my collection, and would likely maim anyone severely who even pretended to drop one of the dragons. to harm a Unicorn is sacrilege, or so the Centaur's claim:D.

Best thing to plug air holes with is wood glue. It won't wash out when cleaning the tank, and can be removed with a pin if your need changes. It worked perfectly for me and no effect on flavour. Tape is a quick fix but can look tacky and will come off in the wash.

I've since moved on to tanks with adjustable airflow and so far the Nautilus, particularly the Mini, does it best. I have both the Kanger Aerotank and Emow Mega tanks, and the Emow/Genitank airflow collars work better than the Aerotank but the Nautilus air adjustment IMO is still the best.

Chain vape. ... me? Why no, never! As I hide behind pallets of boxes at work vaping. LOL

I wish I could claim nice young healthy lungs. 20 years of smoking doesn't allow that. I rolled most of my smokes myself and had been adding a vanilla pipe tobacco in the mix, so I'm used to a good tight draw. The airy draw just isn't satisfying.

Thanks, I'm on my way to the junk drawer to get the glue and try that out too.
