The Insulator on the top of the center post that the spring sits on is cracked. Sadly I have no pictures right now but this is what I mean by being cracked. The insulator most are familiar with them standard type with the lip. Well this is a hard plastic/derlin insulator and a part of the lip has cracked off it still seats perfectly ALTHOUGH the spring if twisted will touch to neg deck and create a short.

So if you understand this without a picture just think it looks like a pac man when looking at it from the top, I went around my old devices and all I could find was an AGA-t with a center post that will not thread. So I thought ok genny insulator for a genny I should be able to use them although they are the soft slightly opaque not hard and white like the one with the RSST.

In all I have yet to find something to replace it that is the same material. Should I try the soft insulators or will the spring push it down? Should I cannibalize the Insulator and just use the lip sort of like a o ring to stop possible shorting?

In all Any Ideas I wish I could somehow get another insulator and to be frank I wont be buying another RSST because of this I have other devices but I still want to keep them all you know. So yeah ANY HELP is a lot of help for me right now.

I just hope i have explained it correctly and not overstated the issue and that i have confused anyone (lol if that made seance lol)
