It is pretty lame, a cosmetic issue though right? I have a tank that is pretty cracked everywhere and it is not leaking or seeping...
I've had several crack out even from tobacco juice. My guess would be the nicotine because I haven't used anything with citrus, mint, or cinnamon in mine. What else could it be?

This is from big daddy vapor....seems like a lot of damned juices...
Sour flavors
Malic acid
Citrus acid
Cinnamon like "atomic cinnamon" types, not warm cinnamon like cinnamon coffee cake, this is okay
Wintergreen juice or flavoring
TPA ripe banana flavoring
TPA honeysuckle flavoring
TPA maraschino cherry flavoring
TPA cherry blossom flavoring
TPA root beer flavoring
Mrs. T's strawberry shortcake, snickerdoodle
KBV Hummingbird nectar
mimosa(because of the orange)

Vapor Renu Teaberry, cherry vanilla (possibly most of their flavors)
Vapor Renu Mt. Dew baha blast and Strawberry limeade
Oil based/e liquid that contains essential oils, when mixed with pg/vg, creates esters which will crack plastics
E liquids that contain triacetin, used in vg liquids to carry flavor more effectively

Mt. Dew flavoring
TPA Cinnamon Danish flavoring

There are tanks and then there are tanks? As in there are tanks that are good and there are tanks that are bad? Mister PV Master, this young apprentice seeks a refuge where one may acquire such a tank (tube, I have caps and have a lavatank coming) that does not split, crack, or spoil...like my mood when it happens. :vapor:
I believe its the material some are using to make there tanks, there are tanks and then there are tanks, I have some of these juices in tanks and they dont crack. some are using a good polycarbonate some arent.

I believe it cracks because it is polycarbonate and it reacts with some juice materials. The opaque tubing used in the new clearomizers and some tanks is polyethylene. It does not seem to react like polycarbonate will. The only downside is it's not as clear-looking, more of a frosty plastic. You might be able to replace the tank material in some of them if you were able to find the right size of polyethylene tubing. On the clearomizers, people found out that the BD syringe material made a good replacement. Maybe your tank can use something like this?

Majority of my tanks from vaporescence cracked out on me. The local hardware store had some "top of the line" (whatever that means) polycarbonate tubing. I cut my own and haven't had any problems since. Nothing penetrates this tubing to crack it out...not even cinnamon. I forgot to mention that in my other posts. Seems as though vendors might be taking shortcuts..IDK...it was from their first run of tanks that they released. I haven't bought any since so I can't comment.

...thx zoiDman...any relation to zoidberg?

Not that I know of but anything is possible.

BTW – I think BD syringes tubes, used for many mods, are made out of Polypropylene which doesn’t seem to Crack, Frost or Craze when in contact with e-Liquids.

There also doesn't seem to as much of a risk of BPA leaching with Polypropylene as there can be with other plastics such as Polycarbonates.

Right on, I will keep an eye out when I buy another one or in a hardwearish store of some kind. (Zoidberg is a cartoon character on Futurama) Doctor Zoidberg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I can't speak for all vendor's or OEM's but I believe that New RS/MiT CE2’s (aka “Clearomizers”) are made from the same material as a BD Syringe tube, Polypropylene.

Some people are using 20ml BD Syringe Tubes for their tank mods. There are a couple of threads saying which BD part number they use.

LOL. And if you think I don't know who Zoidberg is you Bite My Shinny Metal Ash. ;)
