Cracked video from ATB..... I'm livid.

Does anyone here follow Cracked? No, I'm not linking them. I will never link them to anyone again. Their most recent video is an ill informed piece about why we need to say goodbye to vaping, antifreeze argument and all. I had actually attempted writing for these guys a few times, and was incredibly disappointed to see this from them. So..... anyone want to join me in submitting comments to their site about this video? I'd like them to know they messed up.

I've honestly never heard of them so I'll probably continue to not watch them lol But I did check out the video and yeah, it's pretty stupid but the top comment is actually a really well put together and factual retort that I enjoyed reading. I'm not gonna bother commenting on the video because the bases have been covered and I'm lazy and don't feel like making an account just to repeat what someone else has already said.

Because it's bad information, that link should probably be wrapped with "plain" tags so the bots can't index it and associate the content with a link from ECF.

All you need to do is edit the post and add [ plain ] before the link and [ /plain ] after the link (without the spaces before and after plain and /plain, of course).

It'll display the URL so folks can copy & paste it into their browser but it can't be indexed.

So www.twitter.com/scottitude becomes www.twitter.com/scottitude

Pretty simple and effective, eh?

It's mostly search engine bots running around the interwebs, making google and the like "smart".

I've been a long time Cracked reader, and ATB's video was god awful, he makes the same scientific mistakes that other cracked articles (and skeptic sites) pin on the typical pseudoscience cranks out there. One of the first commenters BenJDe did a pretty comprehensive takedown of the video, so it's worth the listen/read just for that..a good reference point for the common anti vaping talking points. Cracked dropped the ball on that one, I'm surprised the editors let it through.

Yeah, it's pretty upsetting to see them publish it. I did read through a lot of the comments, and I noticed that was the first time I've seen so many people deplore the video itself.
