I just watched my first anti-vape video on youtube. Basically the moral of the story is that an uninformed person made a video condemning vaping based on a combination of faulty logic, misinformation, and numerous other things I believe called biased opinions.
The reason I'm posting this isn't because of the video, it's because of the comments.
I saw one or two posts that were good; had sources and links to FDA and other professional agency. The rest were merely bashing the guy for being overweight or unattractive. Is this the image that we as vapers wish to portray to the rest of the world? I read a post by the administrators of this site explaining why they do not tolerate "drug talk."
The opening paragraph goes as follows.

"ECF is the global central resource for electronic cigarette information. As such, one of its main duties is to remain respectable and to present the best possible face of e-cigarette use to the outside world. Our task is therefore to assure visitors that e-cigarette use is respectable, normal and entirely legal in every way."

Should this not be our goal as well? To present a positive and respectable movement, rather than a obnoxious and ignorant fad?
In that light, I hope vapers everywhere will stop posting comments on these types of videos. Posting even a pleasant and polite comment, will start arguments and confrontations that only serve to damage our cause.

If you wish to read the full post about "drug talk" mentioned above, just look in the new member information sticky notes. I would post the link, but I don't have the authorization.

I hope that the vaping community here remains as friendly and I hope that the sense of friendship and community that exists within this forum, can spread beyond just this page.

Thanks and vape on!
