Crackling and Condensation

Hey guys. So, I'm pretty new to using e-cigs and I'm trying to learn as much as possible to take care of mine. I bought the eGo-W and had just gotten it 2 days ago. I filled up the clearomizer (with a wick) about 3/4 of the way through, since I heard that you could flood it if you fill it up all the way. So the first day, everything worked perfectly. The next day, I went to use it again and noticed that there was now a crackling noise. I opened it up and realized that the source of the sound came from the coil inside. A lot of people on these forums said that was normal so I left it at that. But, I realized that now I was getting more of an intense sensation in my tongue whenever I used it. It felt like a few drops were getting through. So I opened it up again and checked again. It turns out there was condensation inside the interior of the cover and inhaler. What I want to know is, is that suppose to happen after smoking for a bit? Because I didn't notice any condensation the first day when I used it. Thanks for taking the time to read this guys.

Since its not smoke, it will not leave smoke residue inside of your drip tip.... But since it is vapor, it will leave some liquid because of condensation... The crakling is nothing more than the sound of boiling liquid... Physics... Cant run away from it.

If you feel drops of liquid getting in your mouth, thats another story. What kind of clearomizer is it?

I'm guessing the drops build up from the condensation? I'm not too sure what the exact name is, but this is what it looks like.

As Steam Turbine stated, top coil clearomizers will have some condensation over time. If their are gurgling sounds when you vape, simply turn the tip into a papertowel or tissue to absorb any built-up condensation in the coil assembly.

Welcome to ECF, btw.

Thanks man. When you say "turn the tip", do you mean flip the clearomizer upside down? Also, quick question. Should I wait until all of the e-liquid is gone to refill, or can I just add more when there is a little bit left?

Yes, just turn it upside down -- you don't even have to take it off your battery. Clearomizers are sealed and the juice will stay inside. And you can "top off" at any time. You don't have to wait for refill. When refilling, DO take your clearo off the battery so you don't get juice on it.

Alright, I'll definitely take that into account. Really appreciate the advice.

When I'm vaping heavily, I find it's sometimes necessary to twist up the corner of a napkin and clean out the inside of the tip occasionally. Taking it off and blowing hard through it also works in a pinch.

Haha, I was actually using the same methods earlier. Although, I realized that blowing doesn't get rid of all of the condensation.
