crackling and spitting, how rude... :)

    Ya most atomizers have the ability to crackle & spit. I just use a drip tip with a spark arrester (bridge from old 510 atty) in it when they do that.

    Crackling is a good thing, spitting is not. My Atlantis has never flooded and I think the general consensus is that its pretty flood proof unlike its older siblings. Anyways make sure your connections are tight. Tighten down that coil head into the base. Also make sure you can see the juice holes after it's all put together. If you can't, theres your problem. It's normal to get that electric shock type spitting on your tongue once and a while, but if you take a pull without firing and you're sucking up juice, the tank is flooded.

    It's often flooding, but in some cases spitting can be caused by eliquid not getting to the coil at the rate it's using it, causing more hot points where the coil isn't covered and hence spitting. If your coil isn't wicking as it was before, try lowering the voltage to where the wicking can keep up.
