Just fleshing it out...

PV trials.

Say I have an Nhaler and Jules wanted to try one out...

We set it up like so:

Length of trial: 2 weeks or whatever
batteries included: yes or no
Atty included: yes or no
Shipping: UPS or USPS priority or whatever is agreed to
insurance: "tryer pays full repair costs"

Or maybe pv rentals.

Rent my GGTS for 2 weeks--cost $10.

I think it would be great for newbies--like myself to try "before we buy" I know some people have several models just sitting there. It would take alot of trust obviously--but so far this PIF crowd is top notch in my book.

anyway what do ya'll think--crazy? no way? worth discussing?

I think it would safer to only deal with people you sort of "know".

I think the suppliers would do well to do this themselves. They could require a credit card to reserve the rental, and charge the rental fee upfront, and the pre-agreed value of the PV in case it never makes it home.

I think that while it's a great idea, it's also asking for trouble. Who's to say that you rent out that expensive GG and never see it again. Just try getting it back. You would pay more in lawyer fees trying than it would cost to get a new one. I would really prefer that something like this not be started in this social group so I'm going to have to close this thread. I hope you can understand.
