What would not interest me is not a mod at all. What would interest me is a selection of enclosures. The 18650 is easily one of the most popular batteries but because of its unique size, there is not a 2AA equivelent. I have seen a number of post that go like this:

"What should I use to make an 18650 mod?"
"Anything it will fit in. Keep your eyes open and good luck."

I would say that there is some business to be made if you could easily machine some tubes or boxes with that battery in mind. Even if you do not sell the enclosures in any quantity, I suspect you would want to use them for your own builds.

ok, so i have looking at building a mod that has 4 18650 batteries in series/parallel, basically two groups of two in series to run at 7.4 volts with 5200 mah. it will be chargeable without taking the batteries out and can be vaped while charging. it would be a little large but should last a decent amount of time, i will probably make it vv. so i was just wondering what you all think about it

That pretty much describes my laptop battery, with more emphasis on large than lasting. Not to stifle the uniqueness, but just thinking of the usage here.

For practicality, This would never leave the house and a passthrough would be more comfortable to use. I would propose a PT and a 2nd mod with one 18650, for on the go usage that still lasts a good while. There are 26500s and 26650s available too if it must be bigger.

Also, the charging circuit would be rather complicated with the setup you described and would be a lot simpler with one battery.

There is also the issue of one giant mod compared to two separate smaller ones, if something goes wrong with the one, you have to deal with is immediately, with 2 you just switch to the 2nd, i.e. in the car or at work.

Bottom line, if you really want to do it, then go right ahead, personal satisfaction and all that. :)

Maybe as you have over 30 of them? ;)

I had three that were mostly sitting unused, but no more.

I may have more by the end of the week... however its hard to find laptop batteries that have not over taxed the cells.

But I have been collecting the 18650 because I pefer a battery that lasts a long time between charges :)

That reminds me that I need to drain down a bunch of them t storage level.

Here is a economical use of space for 2 at a time and still looks pretty handy:

I don't understand the fascination with HUGE mods. My 14500's are as big as I intend to go. If ever I decide to go bigger, then I will design a PCC carrying case for them. I really don't want to be vaping something that could easily break a window. I respect people's varying opinions, but I just don't get it. Why not just carry extra batts?

My dislike is having to carry extra... I want it to work for two days or more with out thinking about it ;]
