From Dec 4th. thru Dec 8th. i ordered from four vape suppliers. Yesterday i recieved notice from my bank of charges i did not make to Steamgames. I haven't used my credit card in months so it has to one of the four which i won't name.
If anyone else has had a similar problem shoot me a PM of the company(s) you have dealt with and we'll see if any names match up.
Thanks
Rok

I had the same issue with threel fraudulent charges on 12/6 to tiketdotcom and my only use of that card in the past 30 days was to one vendor.CC company was very quick to respond.

What I've always done, and I realize not everyone can, is have a CC specifically for online purchases so that way your main accounts don't get screwed up. My CC has $0 liability fraud protection

I recently ordered a mod from fasttech and the status of the order is "Full Payment Recieved". I received an email from fasttech saying that I needed to take a picture of my credit card and send it to their email. I have ordered from fasttech multiple times and never once have I had this happen. I responded I would not be able to do that because I thought it was a scam. They assured me that it is a requirement to make sure that the order was not fraud. Anyone else have this happen to them?

There is no way in **** I would do that. FT isn't a small company, what guarantee do you have that your information would go to the correct department? If they've already received payment, does it show up on your credit card statement?

Just a reminder that you have no way of knowing if/when your CC information is stolen. For all you know the recent fraud is connected to a security breach of your account that happened a year ago. MasterCard VISA et al have no obligation to tell your issuing bank the details of an account breach - only that it happened. If your bank doesn't have access to that info you sure won't be able to figure it out.

Yes it is on my statement, I can still refund it for a fasttech gift card or through PayPal. Nevertheless I'm very disappointed and won't be shopping at fasttech for a while.

I'd write back and point out that they've charged your card, so they have your money and your credit card number; plus, you've ordered from them in the past, so they have your address too. If they think the transaction might be fraudulent they can contact your bank. Furthermore, as a result of their actions you will not be ordering them in the future and tell all your friends not to either. You can state that you are an active of ECF, which has thousand of members and their reputation will be damaged. You can remind them that Chinabuye and Focalecig are adding new products everyday and you would rather give your business to more professional companies.

My wife and I do the exact same thing. Although we normally don't use credit cards, we do have a mastercard just for on-line purposes. Same 0 liability as well. :thumb:

Also -- I have a Visa card thru Bank of America, and numerous times since Ive had that card (since 2008) *they* have sent me a brand new card out of the clear blue sky due to their being informed of some kind of security breach. Anyone who wants to get a new card, BofA Visa takes security VERY seriously, and are extremely proactive about it -- they're also very pleasant to deal with, unlike so many businesses nowadays.

Thanks for your support. I sent them an email and I will keep everyone updated.

I just placed an order with fasttech last week, for the third time... no company does this... run a full virus scan... you got a problem and likely it is in your computer. No harm should come of it... just annoyances. AVG has a free one that should handle it, if you don't have a good virus/trojan protection.
Anybody can send you an email saying they are from a company, and it could look perfectly legit. do a thorough scan on your computer.. that should take care of it.

The emails that are sent between you and fasttech about a product are also on your ticket on the fasttech website. If you are familiar with Lydia the Customer Advocate, it is her.

CC orders - If your Card Billing address and Shipping Address do not match and your CC company does not have your shipping address on file, it WILL Raise Red Flags.
Don't just shoot the messenger. Find out where the problem lies.

I have placed Dozens of orders with Fasttech and other off shore companies without issue. Several in the past Month.

Fasttech replied, they said because I did not provide a picture of my credit card they have cancelled the order. They said I would be refunded in 3 to 5 days. Funny thing is I made another order on fasttech the same day and it has already shipped.

I would never email any CC information (or any other sensitive info) to anyone without being absolutely sure of who I was sending it to, without having exhausted other, better ways first and without using strong email encryption. Email is essentially public because it's just too easy for other people to get hold of it.

I can't help but think something is wrong here. Fasttech should not be doing this and if it really is them I would hold off buying from them until they get things sorted out.
