Creme brulee is my all-time favorite desert. I would love to see if it can be done right.

I have continued to search and haven't come up with anything good. Apparently a couple of vendors have tried this in the past but took it down.

I shot Geoff an email to ask him if it could be done well. If he thinks he can come close I'll try it in a heartbeat. :)

Mmmm the maple syrup taste in waffles kinda has the crust flavor. Flan has more yolk in it than creme Brulee. I wonder how else to re create the caramelized sugar taste? That reminds me of the last cruise I went on with royal caribbean, they did a coffee creme brulee that was to die for! I ate two and was tempted to take a couple more back to my cabin :p

That's how I am with creme brulee. Whenever I have it in a restaurant it's always served in a little dish :(, it's never enough.

I made it at home once but I don't have a blow torch. My friend who owns a restaurant advised me to scorch (broil) it in the oven. I turned out pretty good but you really need a blow torch :D

Yup me too kicked myself for not grabbing more cause they didn't serve it again! I think that was the best brulee I ever had! Hmmm no blow torch ummm you could always use a lighter and a can of hairspray! Lol wait thats how I got my avatar look

A lighter and a can of hairspray would probably work pretty good. LOL

I also LOVE creme brulee. I will be watching for info with as much interest as I stalked the waffles. I have already vaped half of my waffle juice, and am now having to ration it so it will last until I can order more after Sept 1st.

And with a brand new "popping" carto, I could also get that sensation of the crust cracking when you first dig in....yummy!
