Creme Brulee?

Well, Geoff accepted the challenge. He said he has the components to "likely pull it off".
I agreed to be the guinea pig and placed an order (along with a bunch of other stuff)
I haven't had a hard time letting liquids sit when I first get them sice I have enough others to keep me busy but this time is going to be hard
Ohhhhh yeah! Ya gotta keep us up to date on it! That will be a must get if yours goes well. Just remember to let it age. I think atleast 3 weeks on that one.
Well, he stated that nobody else would do it, so hell, I don't see any reason why I couldn't TRY to pull it off. But by all means, PLEASE let it sit for a few days before attempting the first puff. With the components we used, this will have to settle into its "end flavor".

All the liquids that I receive sit for a week before I even bother trying them. At this point I have plenty on reserve to not have to dig into a fresh batch.
My experience so far is that 2 weeks is the sweet spot. I'm going to let the Creme Brulee sit for 2 before I try it since I'm guessing it has dairy in it.

Yeah, Dairy has been phenomenal for a lot of our recipes, but it does tend to extend the steeping time.

I just subscribed to this thread so I can remember to see how this turns out. This sounds sooo good to me and I do believe that if anybody can do it Geoff can. He just made a custom blueberry pie for me that was right on the money.

Wow, you have more will power than I do. I would need to sample it. I admire you for it though. Now the review we get from you will be all proper like.
Well I tried to stay away from this thread....like I need more juice, but I folded, I am now watching this thread too and I can't wait for the verdict
So how much longer are you waiting for it to steep at this point. Inquiring (or obsessed) minds want to know.
