Fill your crock pot with water just enough for your bottle to stand in upright.. place bottle with lid and cap on into the water change the setting to keep warm put the lid on your crock pot and leave for 2 hours then give a good shake then put back in for 2hours and take out give it a good shake then immediately take the top and cap off and leave for 2-4 hours then shake once more... now your liquid will be ready to vape :) without waiting 1-4 weeks for it to steep..

Quick question, do bottles need to be fully submerged for this to work? I just started doing diy, so at the moment just making small quantities that fit fine in my little 2qt crock pot. So not an issue yet but thinking of mixing larger quantities and keeping them in glass bottles once I find a few favorites and I doubt they'd fit.

I fill my crock pot to where the water level just reaches the bottom of the cap. The caps shouldnt leak, but it would suck to wait four hours on your latest creation just to find that water has made it's way into your bottle. I put a metal vegetable steamer in the bottom of the pot to keep the bottles from sitting directly on the bottom of the crock pot to ensure uniform heating. Ive read here that it's best to heat steep in smaller batches because you get more surface area and if you do larger batches, increase the time in the crock pot to make sure all the juice gets plenty of time at 150 degrees. Hope this helps

I do this but prefer to put into glass bottles first. All I can think of is the "don't leave bottled water in your car" thing, With cancer and all. Don't want plastic whatever's leaching into my juice. I'm sure it does it anyways without the heat but being cautious makes me feel better. Haha

Plastizers leaching into your juice is always a concern. Not so much for the soft squeeze bottles but for the hard plastic bottles that resemble glass. As far as the soft squeeze plastic bottles air will leach through the bottle walls after a long period of time which will cause oxidation. It's always best if heat steeping or storing juice for a long time to put it in glass.
