I read in older threads that the recommended steeping temperature is about 65 celcius (150 farenheit) because nicotine starts to degrade at higher temperature.

So my question is, can I steep at a higher temperature if there is no nicotine content? Or does it affect flavors as well? The reason I ask is the usb powered drink warmers are usually at about 85 degrees celcius (about 185 farenheit).

Also, there are several threads about the milk foamer thingie, does this work as well as heat steeping?

Argh! :vapor:

If there's no nicotine in your mix, you can heat to that temp, but a mini crockpot from a used goods store is a dandy investment. Mine set me back $2.50 and runs at 150degrees F all day long.

By the same token, without nicotine, there's nothing to degrade so froth to your heart's content. :)
