Hey ya'll, guess what just came in the mail!? Yup, my brand new P+10440! And this baby is gorgeous...I grabbed one of the Special Order with the aluminum body's and it looks fantastic and is very light...Dave is great too, he read my mind: I had ordered 4 IMR batteries w/o realizing that many prefer the AW ICR's for this mod: lo and behold, my order arrives with a note from Dave saying he's included two ICR's anyway! Awesome!
One problem though...:-(
There is a LOT of 'play' on cartos and atty's when threading them onto the device, and once I them screwed down (stopping when I feel a slight resistance, as you normally would) the cart/atty is almost lopsided... I have been VERY careful when threading anything onto the device (its my brand new mod!) and have slowly screwed everything on and stopped as soon as things tightened up...however, from the first carto i stuck on there i noticed both the 'play' and the crookedness of the carto once threaded...I tried a bunch of different ones (boge, smoktech, IVK cartos, cisco spec 306 and standard joye 510 atty's and also a 901 atty from empire mods with a 510/901 adapter -- I get the same problem with each one
Mind you, the device fires just fine and thus works, its just that, given the awesome reputation of super T for high quality mods and the fact that the 10440 looks SO nice, I just want this thing to be perfect and I worry that the threading may have come cross-threaded (is that even possible??) or have a burr or something...I'm no machinist, but I think something is a little off...
Has anyone had similar issues / or have a solution? I don't want to cause any harm to the device so I haven't used it since I opened it a little bit ago and realized the issue...
Dave, if you see this post, can you advise as to whether I should send it back for you to take a look at it?
Thanks all!
Edit: I can throw a pic up to show you what I'm talking about, although I imagine you get what I'm saying...I use tapatalk for pics on the iphone and the quality is low so I doubt it will be very informative, but let me know and ill post one
