1) Attach atty to tank just like any DCT carto tank.

2) Insert Sleeve into atty so that the Punch Hole Cut-off Tabs cover punch holes in atty.

3) Fill tank with juice.

4) Using the Twist Grip, momentarily rotate the Sleeve so that Punch Hole Gaps align with punch holes in atty allowing juice to seep inside. Rotate the sleeve back to have the Punch Hole Cut-off Tabs block the punch holes.

5) Vape.

6) Repeat when dry.

Well, do you think this is a viable design? What problems would you foresee?

Leaking out the tank of course will be a concern. Leaking out the bottom of the atty... I think that will depend mostly if I can prevent it from flooding. As for flooding, I'm thinking that even if there is a small bit of seepage in the cut-off position through the punch holes, if it's minimal, one may not even have to rotate the sleeve very often and the coil will stay wet continually. Actually this would be perferable... less tinkering when you're vaping.

To prevent flooding, I'm also thinking of having small, gentle sloped male nipples on the Punch Hole Cut-off Tabs which would fit into the punch holes when in the closed position. This would make it 'snap' into place so the user knows it's closed, plus aid in staunching leaking. It'd probably be possible to have a couple of other male nipples above the Punch Hole Gaps which could snap into corresponding female nipples in the barrel of the atty for another indication when open.

Didn't think about punch holes below the coil. It seems more viable to have the liquid drop onto the coil as per dripping, although I could be wrong. Isn't there really nothing below the coil? Is there even a place for liquid to go below an atty coil? Actually, I've always wondered if there is some kind of mesh or wicking that takes in that area below the housing of the coil???

yes there is mesh around coil cup and a little under the coil cup. i was thinking holes below atty coils because when you draw on an atty it pulls air from bottom up throught the center of the atty cup (atty cup has a hole in center ), and the juice can be pulled up from behind the coils , and be vaporized to plumes of vapor.as long as the coils get hot enough

just think of a bottom feeder mod, juice gets squirted up in the center from the hole in the atty connector, when you draw , you fire the atty , and whala.

Much appreciate the info and insight santo. A one-way valve is far beyond my means and skill. I still can't even figure out how to fabricate the sleeve, or how to find a tube to begin with that would fit just right into an atty.

If anybody out there wants to fiddle with this design concept who knows how to do things, that would be fine by me.

maybe you could find an atty and just wiggle out the connection and all the parts and do the same for a duel core tank cartomizer and swap them.

edit: If you shortened the tank a little you could slide it past the holes and slide it back down over the holes every time you wanted wanted juice to flow in. Just keep the rubber seal over the holes to keep juice from escaping when you move it up.
